Arc of Westchester’s Recreation Department is offering exciting programs that are funded by Medicaid and have NO FEE
*(The only exception is The Arc Theater Company @ $195 per person.)

Activity
To be eligible for these programs, participants must be eligible for OPWDD services
(Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) and reside with family living in Westchester County.

Additional Information
A theater arts program offering instruction in dance,
singing, improvisation, speaking and acting skills. The
program will conclude after ten weeks with a special
performance for family and friends. *$195 per person

Education Center
Putnam County, NY
Two night stay at TOEC. Activities will include Project
Adventure, team building games, hiking, aquatic ecology
and boating.
Westchester
Community College
A week-long theater workshop for those students that
enjoy music, dancing and singing.
Manhattanville
College
A week long vacation on the campus of Manhattanville
College. Participants enjoy fitness class, music, crafts,
day trips, swimming, basketball, and theater.

Taconic Outdoor
Education Center
Putnam County, NY
Overnight experience providing students lessons about
our enviroment, nature, and a variety of outdoor education
topics. Recreation and waterfront activities are also
included in week-long sessions.
These programs fill up quickly.
We urge you to go online to Arc of Westchester’s website (www.arcwestchester.org) and complete an online registration form.
All NEW individuals must be eligible for OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) services and get authorization
for respite services through the OPWDD Front Door before being accepted to any of the above programs.
Filling out the online form does not guarantee acceptance in the program. You will be contacted by our Recreation Department to initiate your child’s registration.
Arc of Westchester is anticipating the possibility of funding changes that may impact our overnight recreation/respite programs at
Manhattanville College and the Taconic Outdoor Education Center. This may result in modifications in our programs and scheduling.
You will be informed of any changes as soon as we receive final word from New York State OPWDD.
