Sagmeister has greatly influenced
contemporary design by revealing various
unique designs, the unique form of typography
in large scale, life sized objects and
Sagmeisters large “out there” works including
sagmeisters “Everybody always think’s they are
right” piece where he left several giant inflated
balloon monkeys around Glasgow, Aberdeen,
Edinburgh, Inverness, Dundee, and Stirling.” .
This display has influenced many contemporary
designers to push the boundaries, and remove
limiters for themselves, and do works that are
extraordinary and outrageous.
Sagmeister’s work in typography has
contributed greatly towards the art of
typography and typefaces. Sagmeister uses
random objects to create letters and or words
for sentences, similar to Emma Butlers ‘Good
Designers Copy Great Designers Steal’ which
was influenced by Sagmeister.
