Wayne Thiebaud American Artist About the artist… Wayne Thiebaud was born on November 15, 1920 in Mesa, Arizona. He is an American artist and printmaker who is known for his thickly painted American stilllife paintings. Thiebaud’s paintings consisted of consumer goods, portraits, California landscapes and San Francisco cityscapes. Consumer Goods Thiebaud creates rhythm through repetition of objects.
