About the artist…
Wayne Thiebaud was born on November
15, 1920 in Mesa, Arizona. He is
an American artist and printmaker who is
known for his thickly painted American stilllife paintings.
Thiebaud’s paintings consisted of
consumer goods, portraits, California
landscapes and San Francisco cityscapes.

• Practice shapes: Cones, Spheres, Triangular
prisms, Cylinders
• Draw a 3”x3” grid on a 12”x18” sheet of drawing
paper. Draw lightly!!
• Draw neatly this will be your final.
• Choose one dessert image from your table. Share
with your partner.
1. Line up a 4”x6” transparent grid over your image
