Obstetrics and Gynecology
Our 14 Obstetrics and Gynecology
specialists offer a broad range of
services meeting the healthcare needs
experienced by most women.
Additionally, several of our physicians
are certified to perform robotic
surgeries with the da Vinci Surgical
System.
Obstetrics and Gynecology services are
offered at all three of our main
locations and on a limited basis at our
satellite locations in Park City and
McPherson.
Obstetrics
As specialty trained obstetricians, our
physicians offer preconception
counseling and care for both normal
and high-risk obstetrical patients. The
physician/patient relationship is an
important part of obstetrical care. At
Associates in Women’s Health, you
will always have access to your
physician or the physician on call.
Generally obstetrical visits begin
between the 8th and 12th week of
pregnancy and occur on a monthly
basis until the 28th week. Visits then
increase to twice a month until the 36th
week, at which time visits are
scheduled weekly until delivery.
Gynecology
Gynecological services are offered for
young women in their adolescent years
and throughout a woman’s lifetime.
Routine well woman examinations,
HPV vaccinations, evaluation and
treatment of abnormal Pap smears and
menstrual disorders are provided by all
general obstetricians and gynecologists.
In addition, some surgical procedures to
treat bleeding disorders can now be
performed within the office, saving
patients both time and money.
Mammography clinics are conveniently
located within close proximity of all
three of our main locations.
Contraceptive Options
The physicians work with each patient
to find the contraceptive option that
best fits their lifestyle and values.
Whether you are looking for advice on
natural family planning, permanent
sterilization, short-term or long-term
contraceptive options we have the latest
methods and technology available
within our practice, including new
forms of permanent sterilization that
can be done without incisions.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a
subspecialty of Obstetrics and
Gynecology with a focus on
interpreting obstetrical ultrasounds;
identifying and managing potential
high-risk conditions and birth defects.
A Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist is
a consulting physician who works with
the patient and her primary obstetrician
making recommendations for
obstetrical care to achieve the best
possible outcomes regardless of the
circumstances.

Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine team is
led by Darren M Farley, MD. He
completed Medical School and his
Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
through Kansas University School of
Medicine and completed a
Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship in
San Antonio Texas.
Dr. Farley also reviews the obstetrical
ultrasounds ordered by our 14 general
obstetricians. With state of the art
ultrasound equipment we are able to
offer a disk with captured images of the
baby at the anatomy sonogram which
generally occurs between 18th and 20th
week of pregnancy.
Because Dr. Farley is a consulting
physician, initial appointments are
made by referral only from the primary
obstetrical provider. Services provided
by our Maternal-Fetal staff include
consultations, amniocentesis, nuchal
translucency, biophysical profile and
fetal non-stress tests.
Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine
department is located at our East
Wichita office at 3232 E Murdock,
Wichita, KS 67208 and can be
contacted by calling 316-239-2850.

Nurse Midwife
Our Certified Nurse Midwife is
Sharon Foster, ARNP, CNM who has
been with Associates in Women’s
Health since 1999 and has attended
over 900 births. The collaborative team
of a nurse-midwife and physicians offer
women an optimal combination of
primary, preventive care with
specialized services as needed. The
professional interaction between Sharon
and the physicians clearly enhance the
practice of both specialties. Sharon’s
services include care for low risk,
healthy pregnant women, well woman
examinations, pap tests, care for minor
female problems, family planning and
menopausal symptoms. During labor,
Sharon provides support to the laboring
woman and her partner and encourages
the normal physiologic process of labor
and birth. She has Allied Health
Professional privileges at both Wesley
and Via Christi and practices at our East
Wichita location at 3232 E Murdock,
Wichita, KS 67208. Appointments can
be made by calling 316-685-7234.
Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
Female Pelvic Medicine and
Reconstructive Surgery is a
subspecialty of obstetrics and
gynecology that focuses on restoring
pelvic floor function.
Kevin E Miller, MD is originally from
Kansas and completed both his medical
school and residency through the
Kansas University School of Medicine.
He completed his fellowship in
California before moving back to
establish his practice here. His services
help women suffering from
incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic
organ prolapse and a variety of surgical
problems involving the female pelvis.
Dr. Miller has found robotic surgery to
be an asset when surgical treatment is
necessary, especially for the treatment of
prolapsed organs. Other treatments
available include physical therapy,
behavior modification and medication.
Dr. Miller practices at our east office at
3232 E Murdock, Wichita KS 67208.
Appointments can be scheduled by
calling 316-219-6777.
Gynecological Oncology
Gynecological Oncology is a
subspecialty of obstetrics and
gynecology specializing in the
treatment of women with pre-cancerous
lesions and cancer of the reproductive
organs or more specifically the ovary,
endometrium, uterus, cervix, vagina
and vulva.
Our Gynecological Oncologists are
James E Delmore, MD, and Jacqueline
M Morgan, MD. Both physicians are
highly skilled surgeons performing not
only traditional surgeries but also many
using the da Vinci Robotic Surgical
System. The use of the robot enhances
visualization allowing for more
efficient tumor removal and reduces
blood loss and postoperative
complications often, resulting in a
quicker recovery.
The nature of their specialty provides
patients with a strong patient-tophysician relationship because the same
physician is involved in the diagnosis,
surgical treatment and management of
chemotherapy.
It should be noted however that not all
patients require surgical treatment or
chemotherapy. Each patient’s condition
is evaluated and treatment options are
discussed with the patient and her family
to determine the course of treatment best
for her.
Our Gynecological Oncology
department is located at our East Wichita
office at 3232 E Murdock, Wichita, KS
67208. An appointment with a
Gynecological Oncologist usually
requires a referral from one of the
patients’ medical care providers. For
more information about an appointment
please call 316-219-6777.
