As the summer season gets
into full swing, so does MTCO
Communications. You know, we’ve
been a good neighbor in this
community for many years, and with
this magazine, we are able to reach
out to the community and keep you
connected. MTCO Communications
has provided the residents and

those times.
As technology has changed over
the years, MTCO has stepped up to
maintain ourselves as the trusted

and entertainment. Since adding our
IPTV television services to our lineup over two years ago, the demand
for our services has grown. We offer
television, internet and telephone
service as a Triple Play package to
give our customers great service and
a great deal. We have expanded our
channel line up to provide you the

with our 100% all digital IPTV
network, and allow you the choices
for entertainment that you demand.

on local conditions with just a click of
the remote. For all of your summer
pictures, we provide an application on
your set top box to share your Flicker
pictures on your television. Visit our

Here at MTCO, we also print Connected
Magazine every month, and mail it to
everybody in the Marseilles area. This
allows us to keep in touch with the
community in greater detail. No other
company in our area goes to these

Turner Classic Movies Connects with
Trivia-Loving Film Fans Through New
TCM Movie Trivia App
If there’s one thing film fans love more than movies itself, it’s movie
trivia. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has now brought the ultimate
movie trivia game to mobile with the brand new TCM Movie Trivia
app. Now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod in the Apple iTunes
store, the beautifully designed app is free to download and play,
with in-app purchases and rewards available to unlock more
exciting quiz packs.
With the TCM Movie Trivia app, fans can test their classic film
knowledge and learn more about their favorites by answering
hundreds of fun and challenging questions about classic movies,
actors and actresses. Questions cover a wide variety of genres
and topics, including Pop Culture Cinema, Musicals & Romance,
Tough Guys and Behind the Camera. Many types of questions are
featured, including multiple choice questions, image recognition,
image sequencing, mix-and-match, fill-in-the-blank and more.
Among the many other features of the TCM Movie Trivia app,
players can start and stop anytime with the pause function. They
can also compete against friends and other players through Apple
Game Center integration. In addition, players can share scores
with friends and family through social media.

Apple Plans To
Host iPhone
Trade-In Program
The industry is a buzz about
the news of Apple creating its’
own iPhone trade-in program
this year. The program will be
a partnership with Brightstar, a
mobile phone distributor, and the service will allow
Apple customers to trade in their current phone for
a discount on a new phone.
Apple offers a recycling program, but it is only a
10 percent discount on iPod trade-ins. With them
offering a trade-in program for the iPhones, Apple
hopes to get buyers to upgrade to its newest
iPhones.
Apple was once the major player in the industry but
has lost market share to Android over the past year.
According to PEW, an independent research center,
estimates show Android with a 28 percent market
share of cell phones, while Apple now owns a 25
percent stake in the market.

Folk Stories
The Friends of Marseilles Public Library
Annual Ice Cream Sandwich and Book
Sale will be held on Friday, July 12 from
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 2013, and Saturday,
July 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - noon. If you have
any books you wish to donate, please bring them to the
library during regular business hours.
Donated cookies may be delivered by July 9 to the library
during regular business hours. Bring your cookies frozen
or we will be glad to freeze them for you. Our sandwich
cookies our so popular we sell out of
them before the first day is over! We
will meet to assemble the sandwiches in
the library’s Community Hall on Tuesday,
July 9, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Last year’s book and ice cream sandwich sale helped the
library purchase a new air conditioner for the Community
Hall, scanning equipment for the History Room and new
shelving in the Children’s Department.

Folk Singer Rich Baumann
will present a program about
different places around the United States as our Summer
Reading Program wrap-up. Mr. Baumann is a singer/
songwriter from Madison, WI. He has spent the last
thirty years presenting thousands of uplifting programs
in schools, libraries, and senior facilities. His powerful
lyrics touch peoples’ souls and fill their hearts with warm
memories. All are invited.

be hosting a Gun Show on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday,
July 21, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Loser RunWalk Team Challenge at a Spartan Race
where we start as a team and end as a team! Please be
aware that there will be obstacles and mud throughout
