Life Haven Women’s Shelter Basic Needs Drive We believe women need to support one another, especially those who, at times, are not able to support themselves. We are asking Immanuel to assist us in helping the women housed in Life Haven Women’s Shelter. They need twin size blankets ( gently used and/or preferably new), new washcloths, towels and personal size laundry detergent. The ladies are allowed to take these items with them when they leave the shelter. You will be able to find these items less expensive if you shop dollar stores, such as Big Lots, Odd Lots or other discount stores, and Good Will Stores. If you prefer, you can donate money to us, and we will do the shopping. Boxes will be placed in the front and back narthex for you to place donations. SUNDAY, MARCH 22nd: 100 WOMEN IN BLACK —We ask that all women dress in black. We want to be at least 100 women strong, dressed in black as a statement of mourning for our black boys and girls who are mistreated in any way by the police and by any and all systems—judicial, governmental, social, educational and economical that hinder our children, and all of us, from living the best we can, free from fear because of the color of our skin. A call to all women to show your support by dressing in black! ___________________________________________________________ REHEARSALS THIS WEEK Tuesday February 17th 6-7pm Youth Praise Dancers 7pm Mass Choir Rehearsal Thursday February 19th 7pm Men’s Chorus 7pm Hymn Singers (for next 2 Sundays) 8pm Men of Faith EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Immanuel is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance/Janitorial person.
