The historical of RC Madiun Raya was started on 1996, at D3400 Discon in Batu,
Malang, but there was no follow up. It started again on 2006, when CP Eka Hartono was
interested in YEP for his son, then Tommy Hartono was sponsored by RC Surabaya
Darmo for YEP. DG was Augustine Goh then asked PP Gatut Prasetyo to be GSR for
Madiun, he worked so hard together with CP Eka Hartono to get 20 members for 6
months, before finally they gave up of.
However the hope of CP Eka Hartono to be a Rotarian was very big as on 2010, he
visited Solo and met AG Ina Primani and DG Al Purwa to have a Rotary fellowship.
Without wasting time DG Al Purwa took action and gave mandatory to AG Ina Primani
from RC Solo Raya to be the GRS of RC Madiun Raya. AG Ina Primani came to Madiun
every week to lead the meeting and construct the Club Board.
Finally with helped of PDG Ritje Rihatinah in completing the club documents which
are compulsory, RC Madiun Raya was officially chartered on May 23rd 2011, and we did
the Charter Presentation on June 25th 2011. The inauguration was held in Hotel
Merdeka, that was attended by many Rotarians from various clubs in D3400 then.
Rotarians the members of RC Madiun Raya must thank to CP Eka Hartono, who was very
persistent and dedicated in building the club then, so that RC Madiun Raya could exist
and does many useful and sustainable projects for community in Madiun and around
Madiun up to now.
The Charter Presentation on June 25th, 2011 at Hotel Merdeka, Madiun. Many Rotarians
from Surabaya and Bandung attended this inauguration.

Service Projects of Rotary Club Madiun Raya
In Orphanage having “Buka Puasa”
Having Rotarian guest from RC Bandung Kota Kembang to have join Project
Join Project with RC Bandung Kota Kembang (PP Endang Paminto and Spouse) trained
the villanger women to process the trash such as newspaper and plastic.
Water Project in Dungus was supported by 9 Rotary Clubs in Surabaya, IPDG Ridlo
initiated the Project on September 2012.
