The Astralux 1000 Vertical Blind System is the

Life Cycle and Maintenance Sheet
Headrail:
The headrail mechanism is self-lubricating. Occasional spraying of the mechanism with silicone
based fluid will maintain easy operation. Periodic dusting may be required.
Fabric:
The fabrics are coated to ensure that the vanes will always hang straight, repel dust and not fray.
General care for the fabric is minimal requiring only occasional vacuuming or dusting. Dirty marks
may be removed by wiping with a damp cloth or by using a mild detergent. Hand washing or
machine washing is possible with selected fabrics as indicated on the fabric selector.
System:
Headrail is available in white or silver anodised as standard or other colours to special order. Fabric
colour as selected from available Astralux ranges.
All fabrics are flame retardant to BS5867.
Guarantee Period:
Hardware: 3 years subject to wear and tear.
Fabric: subject to manufacturers warranty only.
Life Expectancy:
10 years.
Suggested Points to Inspect:
•
check installation brackets and clips to make sure they
are securely fastened
•
test operation of louvres (slide and tilt) to ensure
operation is smooth
•
ensure cords are pulled on the vertical plane and access
is not obstructed by desks etc.
•
make sure there are no obstructions within the window
opening which would restrict operation of the blind
Suggested frequency of Inspections:
Annually.
