Christmas Club Funds
For some members, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, the day when your Christmas
funds become available. This year, funds will be available October 15th. Funds will be
transferred to your designated savings or checking account or sent to you by mail. What
will you do with yours?
A lot of members use the account to save money for holiday shopping. Others open one
for each child and hand them a nice size check each year on Christmas day. How about
holiday travel? Perhaps you’ve saved enough this year to take the family on a ski trip.
The GENCO Christmas Club account allows you to save for whatever you want. This
special savings account is designed to help you save throughout the year for any purpose.
Deposit as much as you want, as often as you want. The
only thing you can’t do is withdraw. Dividends are paid
quarterly on balances of more than $5.

Woodway Ribbon Cutting
is a Community Success!
It’s hard to believe 2014 only has a few months left! Opening the doors to our new Woodway branch in June
was a very big accomplishment. Having completed our final
facility upgrade and expansion this year, it’s exciting to say we
are not finished yet! GENCO is in the process of upgrading our phone system to
enhance and increase our level of internal service as well as
service to our members via the TeleBranch call center. Our existing
system is in excess of 10 years old and we believe this new technology
will significantly enhance your member experience with GENCO. GENCO also launched our new website in January and our new
Facebook page in June. Now there are multiple ways for you to get the
latest information on what your credit union is doing for you and your
community. In an effort to continually enhance our internet presence,
we will also be upgrading our Bill Pay service over the winter bringing
you new services and increased convenience in managing your daily
finances. Watch our website for more information on these upgrades.
Looking back, we have had an eventful year with these member service
projects. However, we were also very busy supporting community
events in both McLennan and Angelina Counties. GENCO participated
in multiple area events including the Home Builders Show, Local National
Nights Out, School Sponsorships, Chamber events, Livestock shows
and multiple health fairs at local businesses. We make every effort to
support the people and communities we serve.
As we move into the last quarter of 2014 we look forward to offering you,
our member, a very personal and convenient member experience at
