It is a great honor and above all pleasure to welcome you to the
42nd GFL. This is the second time Serbia has had the opportunity
to host a GFL, and all of us in the OC have done our best to put
together another unforgettable event in the grand GFL tradition.
It gives us great joy to bring you to this place of unique beauty
and hospitality hoping that the time you spend here will leave
you with memories for a lifetime.
I would like to express our gratitude to all who have helped this
great event come to life. Our task would have been much more
difficult without the tremendous support of our sponsors,

As you know, GFL is so much more than a sporting event - it is
an extraordinary opportunity for us to meet up and have a great

KOPAONIK

Kopaonik is the largest ski center in Serbia and one of the most
popular tourist destinations in this part of Europe, located at 290km
from Belgrade. Kopaonik has a unique natural value with its 200 sunny
days and 160 days under the snow annually why its also known as
a "mountain of the Sun". Due to its natural values Kopaonik was
proclaimed for the national park in 1981. The altitude of the Ski Resort
is 1770m, the highest peak on 2017m (Pančić peak). Ski center provide
excellently prepared slopes for all categories of skiers, from beginners
to highly skilled ones. Resort comprises of about 55km of runs for
alpine skiing and 12km of runs for nordic skiing including a lighted run
for skiing at night. All the runs are well connected with a system of
24 chairlifts and ski lifts, with a capacity of over 34.000 skiers per hour.
There is also new and modern snowboard park featuring 450m slope.
The artificial snowing system covers 97% of the resort which make
the skiing season last longer, and the skiers can be sure that they will
be able to enjoy the season on excellently prepared runs.
Kopaonik is ideal destination for families and it’s also very popular
among young people who are searching for great nightlife to complete
their active holiday. Kopaonik has a buzzing après ski scene that is
developing a reputation to match the excellent skiing. Options vary
from venues which cater for the crowd who want to carry on partying
late into the night - to more intimate spots in chilled out surroundings
with good food. However, there is a really great choice of authentic
restaurants with soul food and live music, café bars, clubs with dj scene
as well as restaurants with international cuisine all over the tourist
center, including ski slopes.

SKI RESORTS

Kopaonik, the biggest ski center in Serbia, with it well-prepared slopes provides enjoyment to all categories of
skiers, from beginners to professionals. The ski resort covers an area of about 60 km of ski slopes and routes arranged for Alpine and Nordic skiing. Night skiing enthusiasts can enjoy the night track in the ski resort’s center,
while a space for first ski steps is provided for beginners,
youngest skiers and snowboarders. Besides skiing, Kopaonik offers its visitors adrenaline fun : alpine coaster,
zip line and tubing tracks. System of ski installations at
Kopaonik consists of three six-seat, seven four-seat and
two two-seat chairlifts, nine ski lifts, two connecting ski
lifts and two carpets. In this ski center, skiing and snowboarding training is carried out by three ski schools with
more than 150 licensed ski instructors. Ski center Kopaonik offers all owners of valid ski passes free health insurance.

GFL2017 is not limited in number of the participants
Team is registered when the first payment is received.
Paying the registration fee participants accept “GFL2017 Terms &
Conditions” that will be published online.
Team might indicate the requested category in the registration form;
hotels will be assigned by the OC. As soon as the Accommodation
Department will have the general occupancy plan, if more than a hotel
is suitable for the whole team, we wilol ask you to indicate also your
hotel’s preference.
The OC will work hard to accommodate all the requests and make
everyone happy but please understand us since now if it won’t happen.
Hotels and rooms will be assigned according to the rules: first come,
first served.
Registrations after August 15th will be subject to hotels availability.
If necessary, new price negotiation might be requested by the hotels.
OC Fee is non-refundable.
