and Portrait Painter. Richard is an
Illinois native who by the age of
eight knew he wanted to be an
artist. He graduated from the American Academy of Art in
Chicago in 1983 which began his successful commercial
art career. After 12 years of doing commercial art, Richard
felt it was time to fine tune his fine art style.

Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a wonderful
Thanksgiving. We are honored to have J. Magoo
Valencia, renown watercolorist give a workshop
on Tuesday, Dec 15 at the Downtown Community
Center (12:00 set up and 12:30 to 3:30 workshop)

“Thank you, Karen for the info. The fee is the
same as Rich Stergulz. Minimum students, six.
They bring their own materials. I can share my
brushes and colors’ will bring some of my works
if they want to copy it. Before the workshop l will
give some lecture on do's and don’ts in watercolor
application with my quick demonstration..this will be
a freewheeling workshop. They can bring their own
picture to copy with my guidance. I hope this will be
an enjoyable and fruitful workshop. Again, thank you
and God bless.”
I Hope to see you all at our Dec 9th Christmas/
Holiday Party Meeting. Please bring a finger food to
share at the Christmas/Holiday meeting.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all!
