Faculties Planned :Medicine, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Hospitality,

Objective 1:
To create a best-in-class higher education destination,
with a superior urban environment to attract academic
institutions, students and visitors to work, live, study and

Objective 2:
To provide a feeder system for the economic pillars of

A Brief Introduction
Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia signed Definitive Agreements with IIB
on 20 Nov 2008. Construction works completed and handed-over to NUMed on 3
May 2011
M East Sdn Bhd (Marlborough College) signed Definitive Agreements with EISB
on 30 Oct 2009. Construction works for Marlborough College Malaysia
commenced Jul 2010 for completion by Apr 2012
MIWB and MIR signed Definitive Agreements with EISB on 4 Jun 2010.
Construction works for Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology
commenced end of 2010 for completion by Mar 2012
University Southampton signed Definitive Agreements with EISB on 24 Jan 2011.
Construction works for University Southampton Malaysia Campus will
commence end of 2010 for target operations by Sep 2012
Raffles Education Malaysia Pte Ltd signed Joint Venture and Shareholders
Agreement with EISB on 31 May 2011 to develop Raffles University Iskandar,
which will be opening in 2013.
International Village (Phase 1) comprises residential and shared facilities with
target operations by June 2012
Sports Complex and Stadium target operations by Sept 2012
Multimedia University / University of Southern California signed Definitive
Agreements with EISB on 11 Dec 2011. Construction works will commence mid
2012 for completion by Dec 2013.
University of Reading / Henley Business School signed Definitive Agreements
with EISB on 11 Dec 2011. Construction works will commence mid 2012 for
completion by June 2014.

University of Reading Malaysia
University of Reading signed a Definitive
Agreements with EISB on 11th December
2011.
University of Reading Malaysia (UoRM) will
commence its operations in EduCity in
September 2014 with an initial intake of 500
students. It is expected to reach a maximum
of 2,000 students by 2017.
The courses that will be offered include
Business and Law from its Henley Business
School, Built Environment, Pharmacy &
Chemistry, and Executive Education. UoRM
will start off by offering Executive Education
programmes at Menara Kotaraya in mid
2012.

Multimedia University/University of Southern
California signed Definitive Agreements with
EISB on 11 Dec 2011.
Multimedia
University/University
of
Southern California will commence its
operations in EduCity in mid 2012 for
completion by Dec 2013 with an initial intake
of 188 students. It is expected to reach a
maximum of 504 students by 2022.
The courses that will be offered include
Bachelor Degree courses including but
not limited to Cinematic Arts programme.

Pelorus Dutch Sports Technology Sdn Bhd
(PDST) and EISB on 26th April 2011.
Parties are exploring to establish JCIM in
EduCity@Iskandar that will be offering Sports
Programme that will turn EduCity into a
centre of sports and education excellence
JCIM will join JCI’s international network of
four institutes, two universities and six
colleges in Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Ecuador,
Brazil, South Africa, the United States and
Netherlands
