The 4th of July Celebration has always been the highlight of our annual H.S. events and this year ★ 9 pm Fireworks Show (Mogollon performs for 1 hour after the features a three day event fireworks) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are planning ! Sunday, July 6th ★ 10 am - 3 pm Food, Arts & Crafts, Entertainment,Beer Garden at Tall Timbers Park ! another spectacular Fireworks Show and our Parade through the heart of our community is lots of fun and again this year we are pleased to include a water zone at the end of the Parade route. We are very excited to have the bands Mogollon and Siringo perform and we are looking forward to lots of food, arts & crafts, the beer garden and entertainment booths at the Tall Timbers Park. More information about this great weekend below... Fireworks Saturday, July 5th at dusk Our Spectacular fireworks display is the largest hand lit display in the State. We are proud of that reputation and this year will be no exception! The event takes place at Mogollon High School in Heber and the fun gets started at 3 pm with food booths and this year we are very pleased to announce we are featuring two very popular bands: Siringo and Mogollon (both of which have roots right here in Heber- Overgaard). You and your family will love their music! At dusk (about 9 pm) the fireworks show begins and we promise you will be amazed! Fireworks just shine brighter at 6660 feet elevation. Parade Saturday, July 5th 11 AM Our Parade begins at 11 am on Rt. 260 starting at Forest Park Road and like last year the parade is extended and finishes at Senior Center ST., more space for our ever growing c r o w d s a n d W AT E R ZONE. Water use during the parade is only in the designated area between the north entrance to Tall Timbers Park and Senior Center St. Please, Stay out of this area if you don’t want to get wet. Water Balloons are strictly prohibited due to injuries. If you want to participate in the parade with a float, vehicles or just marching, contact the Chamber o f fi c e t o s i g n u p : 928-535-5777 or [email protected] *An important note about parking along Hwy. 260…Due to safety concerns DPS will no longer be allowing any parking or the setting up of chairs the night prior to the parade. You may only “reserve” your spot along the highway the morning of the parade. Youth For America Program and BBQ Friday, July 4th 6 pm! Friday evening at Capps Middle School a long standing tradition in our community returns to Heber-Overgaard. Dozens of local kids have prepared an hour long patriotic program that you won’t want to miss. The evening gets started at 5 pm with a BBQ ($5 per person or $25 for families) and then the Youth for America program begins at 7 pm. After the program stay for a concert/dance with John Wyane Schultz of American Idol fame. All the proceeds from this event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. ! Tall Timbers Park Friday, Saturday & Sunday July 4-6! The fun gets started on Friday from 11 am to 6 pm with music, food vendors, beer garden, and more! Following the Parade on Saturday, the festivities continue from Carissa’s Run friends wanted to do something Saturday, July 5th 6 am community. And on Sunday from 10 am until 3 pm. There are Food Booths, all kinds of Arts and Craft Booths, Products, Local Groups and entertainment. Be sure to stop by the Beer Garden for a wide variety of beers. ! This year we are pleased to again provide a shuttle service from the park to the parade. High School. No need to Carissa’s Run was named after a crowded lots - shuttle sweet young girl who brought joy to her family during her brief life. In Carissa’s memory and the memory of other such dear children, Carissa’s family and worry about parking in bus runs 2 pm until after the fireworks. More details posted below. Siringo Saturday & Sunday, July 5th & 6th ! Performing at both Tall Timbers Park and at Mogollon High School, Siringo is a five man band will be rockin’ the mountain with vintage rock, country, and contemporary music. Not only are these guys really good but they are also local! Don’t forget your dancin’ shoes! Siringo will be on stage… Friday 12 - 4, Mogollon about truly amazing! They can play Saturday, July 5th! Saturday 1 - 4 and 5 - 6 Mogollon, (pronounced Mug-e- Sunday 10 - 2 of Heber-Overgaard. The name is on) began in our own community derived from the “Mogollon Rim”. Playing music was a good way for a few high school buddies to impress the girls and after a few performances around the area, people agreed this “hobby” of theirs had potential to become more. And they were right! Today Mogollon has earned the reputation as one of the Premier Country Rock Entertainment groups in the West and continues to keep their high standard. Their scope of performing ability is anything, from Hank Williams to Pink Floyd to their original songs. With great vocals, incredible guitar wizardry, dueling fiddles, and a high energy stage show, Mogollon has left people of all ages and all musical tastes wanting more! We are thrilled to have our “home grown” band back in Heber-Overgaard for our 4th of July celebration weekend. A D M I S S I O N TO T H I S CONCERT IS FREE! Check out this short video of Mogollon: HERE Reserved Seating both of these bands are FREE but if reserved seating is of Saturday, July 5th! interest to you and your family The Chamber is offering a Chamber of Commerce building limited number of reserved seats for the Concert and the Fireworks Show at Mogollon High School. The seats are directly in front of the dance floor and stage and are the cost is only $20 per seat. These seats are being offered at the suggestion of folks who don’t want to bring their own chairs or blankets and also want to help with the expense of having such incredible entertainment like Mogollon. Their opening act is Siringo playing vintage rock, country, a n d c o n t e m p o ra r y m u s i c . Admission to lawn seating for tickets are available at the during regular business hours as well as at the concert Saturday night. Reser ved seating is limited so the best choices in seating will be available to those who get their tickets early. An ongoing tradition in our community is the anvil shoot in the early morning on July 6th. This year there will be several locations throughout Heber-Overgaard including the 6 AM start of Carissa’s Car Display Saturday, July 5th ! Inflatables for the Kids Saturday & Sunday July 5th & 6th The kids will love this! Inflatables will be at Tall Timbers Park after the Parade. Brought to you by PACC911, the second annual Pet Adopt-a-Thon will be held at Bison Ranch on Saturday July 5th from 10 am to 3 pm. So many beautiful and loving animals have been discarded and now need a second chance at adoption. Please consider adoption! for more information visit PACC911.org . Parking ! We are often asked: why do we need to pay for parking? To put it simply, it’s one of the ways we pay for the fireworks show and entertainment. Our fireworks show, one of the best in the state and this year again, a concert by the very popular band “Mogollon” are free for all to enjoy. The parking fees as well as other fundraising projects are used to pay for the fireworks and Shuttle Service & Parking entertainment. There is no Saturday, July 5th ! “city” or “county” or tax revenue to pay for this annual event. Dozens of volunteers are involved and hundreds of hours of time and labor are donated. The objective of the Chamber is to provide a great time and fun event for locals and visitors alike while showcasing Heber-Overgaard Buses will be running from Tall Timbers Park (with a stop at the Griffin Propane Lot next to Ace Hardware and at Bison Ranch) and the High School beginning at 2 PM and running back and forth all day and after the Fireworks Show and Concert. Avoid the crowded parking lots and let us do the driving! Park at Tall Timbers Park, enjoy the festivities in the park then ride the bus to the High School. After the show the buses will take you back to your car at the Park for only $5 per person. $5 per car to our friends and guests.
