When you support the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra,
you make yourself visible to an average audience
of 500 people per concert. From students and young
professionals to civic leaders and senior citizens, our
patrons are well educated, successful, and engaged in
our community. They should be YOUR customers!
• The BSO will celebrate its 78th anniversary
during the 2016-2017 season – we are considered a
civic treasure!
• Our conductor, Dr. Beverly Everett, is widely respected in her field, having received awards and requests
to participate in prestigious events throughout the country. Her professional connections bring world
caliber guest artists such as André Watts, Murry Sidlin, and Carol Wincenc to Bemidji.
• Our audience continues to expand – sales of our season tickets increased over 13% in the past year!
• Our volunteer musicians number over 70 and range in age from 14 to 77.
• We are an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
• In addition to a seven-concert season, we offer educational
programs in the schools and concerts just for youth. We
collaborate with other area organizations to do out-of-theordinary programming – we’ve been called a gutsy group!

You choose what works best for your business – an ad in our program, a cash contribution, a donation of goods

Sponsorship – The most visibility! Naming rights to one or more concerts, free season passes, your logo on our
materials, a visit to your event by Encore! our musical ensemble, and so much more!
Cash Contribution – Tax-deductible contributions are the lifeblood of our annual Business Fund Drive. We’ll
proudly list your business name in our Concert Program under the giving category of your choice.
Advertising – Your marketing dollars are hard at work here! Our audience pays attention to and patronizes
those businesses that advertise in BSO’s concert program. We’ll work with you to create a package that puts your
business in the best possible light. We even have design professionals on hand that will help you create an eyecatching ad free-of-charge if you like!
In-Kind Donations – From hotel rooms and printed materials, to car rentals and office supplies, donations
of goods and services are deeply appreciated and help the symphony operate as frugally as possible. We’ll
acknowledge your in-kind donations in the same manner we acknowledge cash contributions.
Desserts by Design – Contribute to our 8th annual Desserts by Design gala fundraiser. Last year, 200 people
enjoyed an evening of wine, coffee, desserts, and music, while admiring the most stunningly decorated tables
imaginable! $50.00 will get you noted in the DxD program, telling everyone that YOU are a BSO supporter!

Endowment Fund – The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra has an endowment fund established through the
Northwest Minnesota Foundation. You can contact us for more details about this giving opportunity.
