Vette Set Gazette July 2016 - Corvette Club of Rhode Island
Volume 52 Issue 7 Presidens Message July 1st 2016 3.0 Our Membership table took in some new Members which will be inducted in the next couple of meetings. Congratulations to those that won trophies for their vehicles, Douglas Lombardi, Brenda Silvia and Dennis Langlois, are a few that I can remember. If there is anyone I missed, well CONGRATUATIONS TO ALL. Vette Set Gazette CORVETTE CLUB OF RHODE ISLAND ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL EVENT! – Congratulations to our Members that represented our Club at the Paul Masse Vettetacular event this past Saturday. Our sponsor indicated to us that this year was his biggest year ever with over 435 American made beauties rolling into the Paul Masse Group parking lot. The event went “flawless” as far as I am concerned. I would like to thank Liliana Dolan in assisting to coordinate this event with our Sponsor, another great job. Liliana’s hard work in the assistance in coordinating these two major events, such as Museum in Motion and the Paul Masse event put our Club on the forefront. I am hoping that we will come together and exceed our Food Drive Campaign this year. At the RI Food Bank kick off, Tasca Motor Group was there, and the Director of the RI Food Bank indicated it was FORD VS. CHEVY…..Let’s get together as a team and prove its CORVETTES VS MUSTANGS as the all Amer ican MUSCLE CAR. July promises to be just as busy. The NCRS OCEAN STATE SHOW AT THE CROWN PLAZA is this month for anyone wanting to attend to show Club support. Our All Corvette Show at Moroso Performance in Guilford, CT is this month. I am hoping for good attendance as they have always supported our show. The Activities Committee has a great social planned. I know the summer months are busy with family, vacations and such, but any participation is appreciated, as everyone behind the scenes in this Club all work very hard for our members in making it the Club that it is today. OUR MEETING IN JULY HAS CHANGED TO TUESDAY, JULY 12, 2016 AT 7:00 P.M. We have r escheduled our cookout to September , as we know everyone will be very busy with the holiday. I wish you and your families a very Happy Independence Day. God Bless our Country and all those who served and continue to serve in order for us to keep our freedom to always “SAVE THE WAVE”.
