A Letter from Your Chairs
Dear Families and Supporters of Our Lady of Guadalupe School,
Howdy pardners and welcome to the 42nd Annual OLG Auction!!!
Welcome to the Wild West! Tonight is a chance for us to saddle
up and step into the rodeo ring and give it our all for our
students at OLG School!
The track record set by our auction predecessors is something
to behold and we had some very big shoes to fill! It truly is
an honor to be a part of organizing this event and we are so
excited to have you here to help support our amazing school
and parish community!
Come one, come all, circle ‘round the wagons and get ready
to raise your paddle high to fund OLG’s mission of fostering
Gospel values, inspiring academic excellence, and developing
service and leadership. Together, we can blaze a trail toward
our shared vision for our children and their future as faith-filled
citizens and shapers of our world.
Your investment tonight will make a difference for each and
every child at Our Lady of Guadalupe School, encircling
them with the warmth of a community that truly cares, that
encourages them in their hopes and dreams, celebrates their
successes, supports them in their challenges, and prepares them
to approach life with confidence, compassion, and an eager,
pioneering spirit.
Our community is one that enjoys a good hoedown to celebrate
our partnership in the ministry of education, and then looks
ahead and gladly sets out for the next horizon in academic
excellence and holistic education. What a joy to be on the
journey together!
Tremendous thanks to our dedicated and immensely talented
auction chairs, Kristina Udall and Jori McChesney, who have
put in untold hours to ensure that tonight’s auction is a success
in benefiting students at OLG School. We’re so grateful! You are
amazing.
It is a very special cause that brings us together tonight.
Belonging to OLG parish and school is to belong to a marvelous
and supportive community that strives to better our world
through consistent and caring services to our children, our
elderly, our families and, most importantly, our faith.
The money raised tonight will help us greatly in our endeavor
to provide a top-notch education to the children in our school,
support our outstanding faculty and staff and continue to
improve our facilities and educational programs.
OLG’s commitment to continued improvement is impressive but
cannot be done without YOU!

Each and every one of you contributed to the success of this
auction and we appreciate all your hard work.

Espinda of Stokes Auction Group. David started in the
auction business at the age of 21 and has been working
in Seattle auction arena for over 20 years. After many
years near the auction industry, David decided to
advance his skills in the craft by attending Western
College of Auctioneering in 1996. That same year he
joined the Stokes Auction Group family. Since that time
he has taken to the auction block each week in both
commercial and charitable endeavors.

Auction Night Volunteers: Thank you so much to all of the

* Emcee Tom Hutyler is back with us once again! Best
known to some as an alumni parent of Our Lady of
Guadalupe School, to others as an amazing coach and
CYO supporter, while to others, Tom will always be
best known as KOMO Sports Anchor, Public Address
Announcer, and the “Voice of the Seattle Mariners.”
KOMO Sports Anchor Tom Hutyler has been in the
radio industry for over 30 years, having begun while
still in high school in his native Spokane at KJRB. In
2003, Tom joined the first staff of KOMO 1000 News,
anchoring sports in the afternoon. He switched to his
current spot as the Morning sports anchor in 2005 and
has been the Public Address Announcer for Mariner
baseball since 1987.
Tom and his wife Terri have three children who
graduated from Our Lady of Guadalupe School, who
then went on to Seattle Prep High School. We continue
to thank Tom and appreciate him for his talent as an
emcee as well as his support and commitment to
our school.

Code of the West
Doors open at 4:45pm to give bidders an opportunity to view all
items prior to bidding.
Other than “Purchase Guaranteed” items, all other items may
be bid on until tables are officially closed.
Each guest is given a bid card (couples will each receive a card
with the same bid number).
LIVE AUCTION
A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to
purchase the item. In the Silent Auction, designation of the bid
you have written by the silent auction official as the top bid is
a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item.
Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only. Though
you may be “sharing” or “going-in” on an item, the top bid
amount of an auction item can not be split among bidders who
may have agreed to pay a portion of the top bid amount.
All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds on
items unless otherwise noted.
The purchaser assumes the responsibility to locate and remove
purchases from the auction site. Winning items from the silent
auction may be picked up directly at each table by confirming
your winning bid number with a silent auction volunteer. Gift
certificates for services may be picked up in the bank area. All
items must be removed from the auction site the night of the
auction unless other arrangements have been made.
Live items are available to view prior to the start of the live
auction. Please note restrictions and/or limitations.
To bid in the Live Auction, hold your bid card up high with the
number towards the auctioneer.
PAYMENT
“q-Check” - Simply present your credit card when you arrive
and register. You will sign the form, be given a bid number and
this is all you need for the evening! The number can be used
for purchasing drinks at the bar, chances in the enter to win
and all of our auction items. If you make no purchases, your
original credit card form will be shredded. We will send your
certificates and a copy of your receipt in the mail a few days
after the auction.
Payments for items may also be made in cash or by check and
can be made at the cashier anytime during the evening. A “paid”
receipt must be presented to remove all items.
Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be
mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted.
Your payments that exceed the value of the item are tax
deductible as a charitable contribution only to the extent
allowable by law. OLG is a 501-C Organization.
Please check all certificates for expiration dates or restrictions.

SILENT AUCTION
The OLG Auction Committee has attempted to correctly
describe and catalog all items, but all items are offered, “As is.”
The auction committee and OLG neither warrant nor represent
the correctness of the description, genuineness, authorship, or
condition of the property. No statement contained within this
catalog or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed
such a warranty or assumption of liability. The donor represents
estimated values.
All silent auction items have a bid sheet placed near the item.
To bid on an item, write your bid number legibly in the column.
Illegible bid numbers will be rejected. The opening bid and
subsequent minimum bid raises are predetermined.
If a person chooses to place a bid number in the “Purchase
Guaranteed” box, they own this item.

This year’s Fund-A-Need gives OLG donors the
opportunity to create a math support and enrichment
program to enhance our current math programs in
grades K-8. Our dream is to have a robust Enhanced
Math Program, across all grades at OLG for years to
come. This is a long-term investment, comparable to
our current and successful Sound Partners reading
program, and will also include an enrichment
component. Donated dollars will be used for startup costs to get the program solidly established. This
Enhanced Math Program will provide enrichment and
support opportunities, both during the school day and
through extracurricular programming outside of the
school day for all grade levels.
