THE DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT Besides Romanian here live together in peace Turkish, Greeks, Ukrainians, Tatars, Macedo-Romanians, Armenians, Russians, Gypsies, Jewish, Bulgarians and others. The city is located in the Dobrogea region of Romania, on the Black Sea coast. 120 youngsters from European countries will celebrate the European Year 2015 - European Year of Citizens Competition under the motto “TΟΜΙΣ: A multicultural example for Europe!”, combining the typical EYP program with cultural, sports events, trips and even relaxing time, as well as enjoying the summer sun while discovering the beauty of Romanian beaches. The European Youth Parliament TOMIΣ FORUM 2015 will take place in Constanta, the oldest living city in Romania, founded around 600 BC. For centuries Constanta was known as TΟΜΙΣ and experienced the Greek, Macedonian, Roman or Turkish occupation, which explains now the fact that here we can find more minorities recognized by Romanian law than anywhere else in Europe.
