Expectations
Students are excused from school one
day per month, August-April, 8a-3p, to
participate in Youth Leadership activities.
There is a required two-day trip to Nashville
in March and a final session in May during
the evening that is open to friends and
family. Some additional online and group
work is expected. Students are responsible
for completing any missed assignments
and communicating with teachers, coaches,
employers, etc., in advance. Makeup work
will be assigned for excused absences to
Youth Leadership. Due to the condensed,
experiential format of the program, three
excused absences will result in a request
to withdraw from dual enrollment credit. An
unexcused absence results in dismissal
from the program.
