After a long journey of ten months, Chloe Dao emerged as the
winner of Bravo’s Emmy nominated Project Runway 2 on March
8, 2006. She competed against 15 designers and was among
the three finalists to showcase their Fall 2006 collection at New
York’s Fashion Week at Seventh on Sixth. Dao won the hearts of
America with her mild honest demeanor but won the votes of
judges Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and special guest
judge Debra Messing with her consistent display of technical
skills, business savvy and creative talent.

Original branding for Chloe Dao, season two winner of ‘Project
Runway’ as seen on Bravo TV. Branching out from her boutique
‘Lot 8’ in Houston, TX, she commissioned us to create her
wholesale fashion image from the ground up based on her unique
style as a designer. We then carried that image into multiple forms
of printed collateral and advertising, including a new set of three
web sites featuring Lot 8 Boutique, the Dao Chloe Dao brand, and
a webstore between them with highly customized content
management features. The websites have been decommissioned
since creation and are no longer live.

Wearable Affirmations, LLC
This is a body of work that was produced over a period of about
six months for a start-up company that specialized in printing
positive affirmations contained within striking and well composed
imagery on fashionable apparel items. Many of the affirmations
were printed backwards (mirrored) so that only the wearer of the
item could read them when looking at their own reflection, thus
strengthening the highly personal nature of an affirmation.
Ultimately, the work spanned across many mediums. I developed a
custom typeface for the company which itself was used in many
of the illustrations that were printed on various types of shirts,
there were also clothing tags, and even a pattern that was
developed to be printed on “Chuck Taylor” style Converse shoes.
