Here’s Cameron “Cami” Wylie who met Cristina Blanco (left) and asked her questions about her position as Coordinator of Fan Loyalty and Digital Marketing for the Miami Marlins. Cami did an internship with the Texas Marshalls of the Texan Collegiate League this past summer. She is interested in continuing a career in baseball after she graduates. Cami is also on the NSU Women’s Soccer team. She has a busy schedule on and off the field. Position: Manager, Retail Operations Reports to: Director, Retail Operations Department: Retail Operations Job Description: The Retail Operations role is to assist the Retail Director with the day-to-day operation of the retail department. The Retail Operations Manager will share accountability for enhancing customer service and store profitability. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership by example and direction to all staff for our goal to maximize sales while providing personalized customer service. Manage the sales staff and daily activities on the sales floor to ensure expected customer service standards are achieved Develop and implement a training plan to ensure all sales associates perform at expected levels. Complete part-time staff work schedules and manage payroll within budgetary constraints. Lead consistent evaluation and development of in-store talent. Issue appropriate counseling and disciplinary action to associates when needed. Assist with visual in-store merchandising, re-stocking and inventory management. Maintains a safe and clean store environment. Drive shrink results through compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cashhandling procedures. Works with director to control department expenses. Assist with special projects and other duties as requested. Job Skills and Requirements: High School Diploma; College Degree Preferred Outstanding inter-personal and customer service skills. Excellent ability to train and motivate staff and exhibit strong leadership skills Professional oral and written communication skills, appearance and presentation Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds Must be able to work nights and weekends. Schedule flexibility week to week is required. The WH Associate is required to perform regular housekeeping tasks and assist the WH manager in keeping the Team Store and merchandise stands well stocked. The WH Associate is responsible for keeping record of the transferred products and properly delivering the product. The WH Associate needs to be good at both taking direction and giving directions when needed.
