A great new twist on an old classic – it takes
Tic-Tac-Toe to a whole new level!
Set up:
Flip the board over so that the marbles are
now in the plastic bubble top. The board
should now be empty. The board is subdivided into nine different playing fields, the
upper left, upper middle, and upper right; the
middle right, middle, and middle left; and the
lower right, lower middle, and lower left.
In this example, the second (blue) player
places his marble in the right upper space of
the lower middle square:
Rules:
Each player or each team chooses a color.
The first player places a marble of his color
on any space on the board: For example,
the first (red) player places his marble as
shown below;
Now, the first (red) player must place his
next marble in any of the open spaces in the
upper right square:
Since the first player placed the marble in
the middle lower space of that square, the
next player’s (blue) marble can be placed on
any of the nine spaces in the middle lower
square on the board:
The first player to get a tic-tac-toe in a
square places a gold ring around his marble
indicating a win in that square.
As play progresses, there may be more than
one tic-tac-toe in any one square. Only the
FIRST tic-tac-toe wins that square.
In some instances, a player may place a
marble in a space where the corresponding
square has no open spaces. In this case,
the other player may put his next marble in
ANY OPEN SPACE.
The first player to win 5 squares, or the
person with the most gold rings wins the
game.
Variations:
Team play (4 players): The game proceeds
exactly as above. Teammates sit opposite
each other. Each player plays in turn.
Teammates are not allowed to talk or give
hints as to where to make their next move.
st
Quick play: The person to get the 1
tic-tac-toe in any square wins the game.
Longest Line: Play proceeds as for
Tic-Tac-Ku, the player that has the longest
consecutive line of marbles wins the game.

Tic-Tac-Toe to a whole new level!
