Various events have been raised over the past few weeks and there are many
to follow as we enter the festive season.
Those wishing to partake in the activities and support the club and it’s
members are requested to contact us to confirm your booking and intentions.

Cycling:
Well done to Jan Meyer, the only Savages cyclist to complete the Amashovashova in 2008.
Savages Time Trial:
The Savages Time trial is back
Tuesday 4th November, starts 18h00 ( 6.00pm )
Open to everyone, 8km men , 4km ladies.
There will be a pair of Adidas shoes for a lucky draw
for those who run, courtesy of Tanith Maxwell and
Adidas.
The draw will be at 19h30 (7.30pm) - you have to be
there to win. She will also have the Adidas footscan
and the new range of Adidas running shoes for 2009
available.
Tanith will scan any interested runners' feet and give
them guidelines as to the correct shoe for their foot.
There will be braais lit, bring food and come relax
afterwards. Ample safe parking.

Colleen de Reuck who is an
honorary life member of
Savages and currently lives in
Boulder, Colorado, did well in
Chicago Marathon.
Aged 44 she finished 6th
amongst the ladies in a time
of 2.32.25.
The commentators
mentioned that she holds US
age group records over all
distances on the road
