Since 1977, Crossland Construction has transformed from a small local construction
company into a leader within our industry. We’ve expanded into a regional
company with eight offices, maintaining licenses in 37 states. We’ve expanded our
subcontractor base by working with over 1,300 subcontractors to complete over
1,100 jobs each year. Last but not least, we’ve expanded on our client services.
Crossland continually strives to be good stewards of our client’s finances, treating every project as important
as the other, and upholding our client relationships as our most valued commodity.
As we look to the future, I am excited about the opportunities that lay ahead, knowing that to achieve these

The Crossland Construction Education Department was honored to receive the award for
Outstanding Achievements in Construction Industry Workforce Development at the 2015 Awards
of Excellence celebration in Houston, Texas. Bestowed by the Construction Users Roundtable
(CURT), the Construction Industry Workforce Awards recognizes extraordinary, exemplary, and
innovative training and education programs that lead others to a career in the construction
industry. Clay Kubicek, Crossland’s Education Director, attended the awards ceremony, and
received the award on Crossland’s behalf. “It was an honor to accept this award for Crossland,
especially considering the number of large and respectable companies who also submitted for
it. It’s a great feeling to be part of Crossland’s award winning team. Crossland’s core values
shine through its investment in training and development,” said Mr. Kubicek.

employees through innovative on-the-job-training programs, registered apprenticeships,
mentoring, individual learning plans, and clearly defined career paths. Crossland Construction
Company genuinely believes that the company’s greatest asset is their employees, and devotes
considerable resources to the skill development and lifelong learning of their team members.
Since 2004, the Crossland Connection, Crossland’s external educational program, has exposed
over 8,000 middle school, junior high, and high school students to career opportunities in the
construction industry through this business/schools partnership. As a result, 2200+ students have
received their National Center for Construction Education and Research module completions in
Core, Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing, and Electrical. Crossland’s passion for giving back to the
community shines through the Crossland Connection.
JOHN PRIEST NAMED COMPANY PRESIDENT
Crossland Construction is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. John
Priest to President of the company. Mr. Bennie Crossland, President since
2002, will continue to contribute to Crossland’s success as Chairman of the
Board of Directors, effective November 6, 2015.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Mr. Priest has been with Crossland
for 17 years and currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his wife and three
children. “I am looking forward to building on the tradition of leadership set
by Ivan, Jr., Bennie, and the Crossland team. It is truly an honor to serve such
a dynamic organization,” said Priest. Bennie Crossland plans to actively assist
with the transition as the company moves forward into 2016 and 2017. “This is
an exciting time for us. John has served on our company’s Board of Directors
for the past year. He has played an integral role in the development of our last
two strategic plans, has assisted with the implementation of new procedures
company-wide, and has worked to develop and advance our presence in new
markets.” Ivan Crossland, Jr. will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer.

Joplin, MO— For the first time in more than 40 years, the MSSU Baseball Program
has a field on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri
and Crossland Construction was awarded the project contract. The new $2.6
million Warren Turner Field can accommodate 600 fans. The facility has batting
cages and bullpens, and artificial field turf to reduce the number of weather delays
and game cancellations.
Additional features include a full concessions stand, two luxury suites, and a top-ofthe-line press box. The fans have an impressive view; the bleachers were installed
on top of both dugouts and the press box.
Construction was completed in time for Opening Day 2015.

FOOTBALL STADIUM
Siloam Springs, AR—The Siloam Springs School District chose
Crossland Construction to complete their new high school football
stadium. The scope of work for the project included the building
of a press box and grandstands for 4,500 people around an existing
turf field. It also included a new ticket booth, home and visitor team
lockers, and concessions buildings. Team fans can now enjoy an
athletic experience in style and comfort, and athletes are sure to
appreciate their updated facilities.
Despite inclement weather, Crossland crews worked diligently with
the school to keep the project on schedule and on budget. As always,
we are proud to have contributed to the Siloam Springs community
through this special project.

structure, and paving. Each task required special drawings
from vendors that included unique design elements.
The vast majority of the job was completed using High Early
concrete, which is a special purpose concrete producing
higher ultimate strength. Gang forms were used for all large
pit walls. The large sand elevator was used in similar fashion
to an erector set; we were able to assemble the sand elevator
in sections on the ground, lifting those sections upward in 20foot lengths. This method allowed us to cut our erecting time

were used to pre-tie large rebar mats and lift them in place.
