Mohawk, who was named for the shape of his mane and born in Nairobi National Park, escaped and pounced on a man in a crowd in the town of lsinya on Wednesday, where he was fatally shot by wildlife rangers. Famed Coast artist Zuber Bakhrani, who loves to paint wildlife, is often asked what his favourite wildlife subject to paint is. It's a difficult question as Zuber loves to paint all big cats but if he was forced to make a choice he would have to say, "though Mohawk the Lion is top of my list, they are all so unique and their characters shine through their eyes". Zuber admires the strength, courage and innate dignity they all seem to possess and this Mohawk Lion had all these qualities in abundance. Zuber Bakhrani is seen putting final touches to his latest artwork. D IAM O N D TRUST NAI R O B I 18 CMS X THREE COLUMNS
