MEADOW RANCH ROPES COURSE
Come enjoy our Meadow Ranch Ropes Course with the whole family. You will
experience high-flying fun and be challenged on the Tree Circuit Course, the
Rip Cord Swing, and our 1-Level Tree Leap. Minimum age is 8 years old, must
be at least 52” tall and not exceed 275 lbs. Sign up in the Welcome Center.
Limited spots available. Meet at the Meadow Ranch Ropes Course.

BACKSTAGE TOUR
Come and enjoy a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes here on the
grounds. From Ponderosa High School camp to the Waste Water Treatment
Plant, see what it takes to minister to the multitude. This tour takes place
on golf carts and some walking is involved. Please make sure to wear
comfortable shoes. Sign up in the Welcome Center. Meet at the golf carts
parked in front of Memorial Chapel.

BLOB & NOAH’S NIGHTMARE
LOCATED IN MEADOW RANCH POND
Feel the rush of jumping on a giant air-filled pillow (the Blob), and the thrill of
being catapulted into the water. Noah’s Nightmare gives you the experience
of swinging on a rope into our pond. Sign up in the Welcome Center. Each
participant must be a minimum of 48” tall and must receive a hand stamp.
Meet at the Meadow Ranch Pond.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST
Leaseholders, cabin renters and Hume guests are invited to join us at
Inspiration Point for an amazing breakfast. This is an opportunity to experience
a beautiful summer morning overlooking Hume Lake and also enjoy great
company with each other. Please access Inspiration Point via Lakeview Drive.
Just follow the signs. More details in the Welcome Center.
PAINTBALL
Experience the rush of paintball at Hume. Join us for this great adventure in
the woods. We provide all the equipment that you need for a great day on the
field. Sign up in the Welcome Center. Limited spots available. A minimum of 15
participants for each session. Meet at the bus in front of Ponderosa Chapel.

DEVELOPMENT TOUR
Join Executive Director, Dathan Brown, and Development Director, Mike Drake,
for a golf cart tour on the property to talk about some of the current and future
programs and projects happening at Hume. There will be time for questions
and answers on “everything Hume” and includes a famous Hume milkshake.
Geared for adults. Meet in the Memorial Chapel parking lot. Sign up in the
Welcome Center.

HUME HISTORY & ROUGH FIRE
BIKE TOUR
Come join us in Memorial Chapel for a historical journey of the area
surrounding Hume Lake; encompassing a look back at the old logging days to
the present day ministries of Hume Lake Christian Camps. Our look back will
include an insider’s overview of the Rough Fire, the miraculous stories of the
men and women who fought it, and how God used those efforts to spare the
campus for the purpose of fulfilling Hume’s mission and ministry.

IMPORTANT RECREATION INFORMATION
Liability release forms must be signed individually for anyone participating
in an activity or tour at Hume. If under 18 years old, a parent or legal
guardian must sign the liability release. Forms are available in the Welcome
Center. Opening/closing times are subject to change due to staff events.

OFF-ROAD TOUR
Nothing will stand in your way as you drive the back-wood roads around Hume
Lake. Our skilled guides will lead you safely through one of several different
routes to see breathtaking vistas and to touch towering giant sequoias. If you
want to drive, bring your license and proof of insurance. You must be able to
drive a manual transmission. Sign up in the Welcome Center. Limited spots
available. Must be 8 years and older to participate. Meet in the Memorial
Chapel parking lot.

BLACK OAK, HICKORY, and JOSHUA LODGES

Enjoy the beauty and excitement of Hume Lake Christian Camps in the comfort
of our spacious and modern lodges. Black Oak Lodge, Hickory Lodge, and
Joshua Lodge provide easy access to everything Hume Lake and Kings Canyon
have to offer.
Black Oak and Hickory Lodges offer a fascinating glimpse into Hume’s past
through large-print historical photos hung throughout. All of the lodges include
shared lounge areas to provide space to read, play games, sip coffee, and enjoy
the friendly community that Hume Lake is known for.
Black Oak Lodge rooms include 2 queen beds, phone, mini-fridge, and a coffee
maker.
Hickory Lodge rooms include a queen bed, twin bed, trundle bed, phone, minifridge, and a coffee maker.
Joshua Lodge rooms are air-conditioned and include two double beds and a
coffee maker.
Breakfast is provided for lodge guests. Wireless internet (though not available in
the rooms) is available for purchase for lodge guests. Access locations are listed
on purchased access cards.

Multiple Night Packages:
With 2 or more nights booked, you will receive a Boat House pass.
There is a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of the first night’s stay due
upon making the reservation.

Swimming Pool
Ponderosa Pool is only open to registered guests with tickets which are
available at the Welcome Center. Tickets are complimentary for our lodge
guests. Cabin renters may purchase tickets at the Welcome Center for $5.00
person/day.

Boat House
Guests can rent row boats, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, bikes, and disc golf
discs from our Boat House.

Skate Park
Our skate park is available for use by our guests. Protective equipment (helmets
and elbow pads) are required at all times and are available for rent in addition to
skate boards. Our liability release and medical release form must be filled
out prior to use and are available at the Welcome Center.

Huckleberry House
SUMMER CHILD CARE
Huckleberry House is our summer season child care program for ages 0-5
years old. We provide quality and loving child care as a ministry to parents
attending any of Hume’s many activities and ministry opportunities.
Simply register online or at the kiosks in the Welcome Center.
Then, stop by and leave your little loved ones with our dedicated staff. We will
provide you with a pager for your peace of mind.

SUMMER CHILDREN’S PROGRAM
Children entering the first through sixth grades are welcome to register for
Summer Day Camp. Don’t miss out on the fun activities planned for every child
who attends. Kids will be swimming, hiking, enjoying water-wars, skits, Bible
stories, making crafts and so much more.
Simply register online or at the kiosks in the Welcome Center.

Dr. Oliver is a husband, father, university and seminary professor, author and friend. Gary
is also the Executive Director of The Center for Relationship Enrichment and Professor of
Psychology and Practical Theology at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. He is
the author of over 20 books and 250 popular and professional articles. He has degrees
from Talbot and Fuller seminaries, is a licensed clinical psychologist and has over 35
years experience in counseling, consulting and providing training in Emotional & Relational
Intelligence (ERQ). For ten years he was also on the board and national speaking team for
Promise Keepers.
