All our instructors have the same aims in the arts and work to achieve the highest standards from our students. Jackie graduated from Performers College, London as a professional dancer with a diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre, also graduating with modern Dance Teacher Qualifications. Jackie has travelled the world as a professional dancer. She has appeared at many different venues including, Wembly Stadium, Wembly Arena, Hackney Empire, BBC and ITV studios also cruise ships, casinos and theatres throughout the world. Jackie Nicoll (A.I.S.T.D) After seven years of dancing professionally, Jackie had to return to her howntown of Perth, after suffering a terrible injury to her shoulder. Jackie decided to carry on dancing professionally would be too much of a risk, however she took a year out to return to full health then returned to the dance scene. Using her teaching and choreography qualifications Jackie freelanced across Perth and Tayside for four years, working with many different organisations and projects. In 2007 Jackie flew across to New York with 8 of her students from Arbroath to train at the ‘Hip Hop Dance Conservatory’. The trip was a great success and a chance of a lifetime experience not to be missed. After four years of freelance dance teaching and hiring different dance halls throughout Perth, Jackie decided to look for her own Studio, and in October 2007, she found the studio space required. After two months of refurbishment JGN DANCE ATTIC was officially opened in January 2008. JGN DANCE ATTIC is now home to 30 different classes every week, with over 300 students attending, aged from 18 months - 50. Jackie continues to build success in her ever growing business proving her talents as a dance teacher and choreographer. Teachers MEGAN ELRICK: Megan has been dancing as a student with Jackie since she was 10 years old. She has performed in all four of the previous JGN Dance Attic shows. Megan started helping out with classes when she was 14 and last August became a full time member of staff. In September, Jackie and Megan flew to London for Megan to attend the BDAF’s first street dance level 1 training course. Megan recently started three quad groups; under 10s, under 14s and under 18s. These quads all took part in the maximum dance competition in Dundee where the under 10s gained 2nd place. All three groups will be competing at the world street dance championships in August. In July last year, Megan attended a course to become the teacher of our new parent and child classes, Disco Duck. RUDY MBUNZAMA: Rudy Mbunzama is 25 and was born in Congo DRC (Kinshasa). Rudy is a performer, dancer (all styles), instructor, choreographer, and founder of #1BLUD Streetdance Crew and Hip Hop Revival Entertainment. Through this Rudy runs all types of events, showcases, performances, classes and a lot more activities. Rudy has taken part in many showcases and TV programmes around the UK such as Got To Dance, Move Like Michael Jackson, Irn Bru Advert and the MOBO Awards. He has also performed at many venues such as Celtic & Rangers Football Stadiums, SECC, Royal Concert Hall, Cadbury Chocolate and much more.
