Tallulah by Hey Hallelujah), a
feisty grey colt, made his appearance at the very civilized hour of
4:30 in the afternoon on May
19th. Clever fellow! He’s very upright with a hooky neck, and, oh,
did I mention, he can trot, too!

at the Open House
saturday, september 8th opened with
tornado warnings for Northwest Connecticut
with severe wind and rain in the forecast.
But the show must go on… so it did!
over 225 intrepid horse lovers joined us
for our presentation of horses which
included our mares and foals, sale horses
and special guest Bachir Bserani, author of
the book “authentic arabian Horse Names”.
as the program progressed, the skies grew
darker and darker but the storm held off
until we presented our last horse. Then all
hell broke loose as we gathered in the arena
for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and then ran
to the tent for supper—a stormy ending to
a wonderful day.

Equine Affair 2012
This year, Quarry Hill Farm was asked to
orchestrate the Arabian Breed Demonstration for Equine Affaire at The Eastern States
Exhibition in West Springfield, MA, Nov. 8-11.
We took horses representing a wide variety
of disciplines—Country Pleasure Driving,
Country English Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure,
Half-Arabian Show Hack, English Pleasure,
Western Pleasure & Native Costume.
Special thanks to catch rider Rebecca Eddy
with QH Barcelona; Mert Sartre with FA Layla
Dancer; Kristie Stevens with Extremely
Noble; and Cathy Vecsey with HL Sanction,
the 2012 Unanimous US National Champion
Native Costume Horse. And, last but not
