Tiare Ura Cover 2 - Tahiti Nui International
!
Ia orana tatou,
Tahiti Nui International would like to formally invite you to participate in "Heiva I Honolulu”, March 21-22, 2014.
The attendance every year is due to each group’s commitment to great performances and the early buzz of
such performances to family and friends. We were so privileged last year to enjoy grand stage presentations
by our local groups Tamatoa, Tahiti Mana, Maohi Nui, Tiare Ura O Tahiti, Ia Ora O Tahiti, and Here Tama Nui!
Awarded along side our locals, were our overseas visiting groups Nemenzo of northern California and
Puahinano of Okinawa, Japan. The numbers on stage and in the audience made for a successful event. Even
the soloists, representing more than thirty groups, brought to the Waikiki Shell stage new costumes and
improved steps that continue to fascinate our judges and audience alike. With such great attendance,
participating even vendors had a successful event period in sales. Each year, you as group, soloist, and
vendor raise the bar and create the excitement for the years to come.
We encourage every group, soloist, and vendor to invite your family and friends to the event, by including them
on your advance ticket forms to benefit from group ticket prices. The deadline for group ticket prices is well in
advance of the actual event date, so invite them, collect their ticket fees, and submit the order form at your
earliest convenience. Though we were not sold out last year, year upon year the evening performances are
guaranteed to bring in near full capacity attendance.
Please review the group rules and regulations, as well as solo and vendor rules and regulations. The required
forms to complete your application process for Heiva I Honolulu 2014 can be found in the Registration Packet.
We have included ALL forms applicable to your “Intent to Participate” completed form, in the packet. Be sure to
complete and return to us your Group, Vendor or Solo Application, the Hold Harmless Agreement (each soloist,
group, and vendor needs one), and the Ticket Order Form. The deadlines are noted on the applications, as
well as within the rules and regulations of each category. Should you be interested in pre-ordering Heiva I
Honolulu 2014 t-shirts and other novelties, submission of the Novelties & T-shirt form will be required with
payment as well or separately by the associated deadline.
We look forward to seeing all of you at the event in March of 2014. Should you have any questions or need
additional information to assist in the application process, please contact Rose Perreira or Mana Mo’o via email,
[email protected] and/or [email protected].
Vendors, please contact Tamara Ulima via email,
