octoDAC manual
Thank you for your purchase of an octoDAC module from dogface audio. This Users Manual will cover the

The octoDAC converts MIDI Control Change messages into eight channels of 0 to +5V Control Voltage.
To use the octoDAC assign a MIDI output from your MIDI interface to the octoDAC, and set output as
MIDI Channel 1. Send a few notes to the octoDAC to initialize the unit, then MIDI CC messages can be
sent. Do not send MIDI notes while sending MIDI CC values. The MIDI Control Channels are mapped
according to the diagram.

MIDI CC 17 to Channel 2
MIDI CC 18 to Channel 3
MIDI CC 19 to Channel 4
MIDI CC 20 to Channel 5
MIDI CC 21 to Channel 6
MIDI CC 22+23 to Channel 7
MIDI CC 24+25 to Channel 8
Channels 7 and 8 are summing outputs.
These channels will add the values of
two MIDI Control Change channels to
achieve smaller changes in the output
voltage.
