We are a church that lives in the Resurrection by our belief in Christ’s victory over death, in our celebration of the Eucharist each week, and in the way we engage with the world around us. Christ commands us to love one another just as He loved us (John 13:34). He offers this teaching immediately after washing the feet of ECW Spring Dinner his disciples; a moment in which He humbles himself by filling the Capital Campaign Prayer role of a servant. I am drawn to this teaching because I see this as 6-7 Christian Education Dinner & a Movie Puzzles 8 how we are called to live our lives together—in service On Easter Sunday I invited us to look at how we serve others differently. As we commit ourselves to the Capital Campaign and the task of raising funds for the enhancement of our beautiful Christ Church buildings, help us to find within our hearts a love like yours. Strengthen us now as you help us bring to fruition our dreams for Christ Church. With faith, we pray. AMEN. During Father Tristan’s Easter sermon, he told the story about warring gangs in Mexico and how when asked by the priest how the church could help a gang member said all the church has to offer is death. One of the changes the priest made was to use the Risen Christ crucifix. The Alter work uses the Risen Christ crucifix, just like the church in Mexico. The children see the Risen Atrium.
