Brand Wars
Students of Applied marketing Strategies, under the supervision of Ms. Jawaria Fatima, organized an
immensely interesting event called “Brand War”. This event was assigned as a project to the students of
Applied Marketing Strategies to augment their practical
capabilities. All groups of students presented their own
brands and, thus, promoted them with self branding
concept. Many local and international brands participated
in the event such as Kansai, Warid, Wateen, Lipton, Tapal,
R.C, Cocacola, Yummy, Sting(Pepsi), Lazur (Chatkhara) ,
Shark, Shezan and WiTribe. As there were 20 groups, this
event was divided into two days: 20th and 23rd April.
Brands were organized and brought into campus by
students. The basic theme was to present brand through
some promotional stuff.
For that, students designed different games to increase
participant interest. Such offers as “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”,
“discounts” and “free sampling” were given to attract
customers. Teams interacted with the students as if they
were their customers in real life. They argued and tried to
satisfy each customer by handling them with care.
Such events should be arranged quite often as they give
students a slice of real-life experience.
