The AMAZING Journey of
Stephen Hurd
In a few short years, Stephen Hurd has
become one of the frontline praise and
worship leaders in the gospel music world.
His songs such as “Undignified”, “Great
Praise” and “Zion is Calling” have become
staples in Sunday morning church services.
His new CD Times of Refreshing
(Integrity Music/ $13.98 List Price) promises
to make the same impact. The up-tempo
lead single “Amazing” is catching on at
radio nationwide and also underscores just
how large a role faith has played in Hurd’s
life and career. When asked what the most
amazing thing was to ever happen to him,
Hurd’s mind goes back to his sophomore
year in college. His late mother and biggest
cheerleader, was dying of a chronic lung
disease.
“When I was singing to my mother in the hospital bed and watched her body become relaxed from
the overwhelming fear of not knowing her plight,” Hurd says. “That was amazing to me. I saw
peace come upon her. I could tell you many many amazing moments like that but we don't have
enough time.”
One story he did find time to tell was how he joined Integrity Music. Hurd was a popular praise and
worship leader in the Washington, D.C. area and had even recorded two custom CDs. He wasn’t
actively seeking a record deal but a fan passed one of his CDs on to an A&R rep for Integrity Music.
The man called Hurd to discuss a contract. “The first time they called, I couldn’t meet with them,” he
says. “It was February and I was in the mountains on a retreat and my pastor John Jenkins wanted
me to stay on sight. So, I thought I had lost the opportunity.” A year later, Jackie Patillo had become

Jones and the Nashville Super Choir will also be
performing at half time for the St. Louis Rams Football

started just over two years ago and has grown from providing
food to twenty five families in need monthly to now well over two
hundred and growing ,as individuals spread the word to “come
to the House where the power of God is!” Our Food Bank
ministry also goes out into the local community and delivers
bagged food to families in area hotels and apartment complexes
as they minister the good news of the gospel and provide hope
to these individuals through the word and love of God.

Humilitee’s HIGHLIGHTS!
This weekend was very eventful. Tamela & David Mann’s
in store appearance brought out fans from all over Central
Virginia! “The Master Plan” CD by Tamela is a BEST BUY. Seriously
family you need to pick up the project if not for yourself only it will
make a wonderful Christmas gift this season.

The Manns were on the move in Richmond from the time their
feet hit the ground in Richmond, Virginia and they didn’t slow
down for one moment. On Sunday David and Tamela came to a
packed Dunamis Christian Center where there were at least 1,500
excited members, visitors and friends waiting for the Manns to
arrive.

expecting to attend to the 1st Annual Gospel Choir Competition Benefit Concert. The event was postponed by H.O.P.E.

Ministries of Richmond citing inclement weather & unsafe road conditions in
nearby cities where many guests and patrons were commuting from into
Richmond.
D-Rob is a Christian Rapper (UppaCut Music). A talented young man and
someone to keep your eye on for sure. D-Rob is a member of Mount Gilead Full
Gospel International Ministries in Richmond where his parents Bishop Daniel
