SUMMER READING
Trinity’s Summer Reading
Program has 2 components.
1.
A required book has been chosen for
the students based on their grade level
(class of 2012 = Lord of the Flies; class of
2013 = Chasing Lincoln’s Killer; class of
2014 = Of Mice and Men; class of 2015 =
The Lightening Thief). Of Mice and Men
and Lord of the Flies have already been
given out to students but The Lightening
Thief and Chasing Lincoln’s Killer must
be purchased or checked out from the
St. Louis County Library. The
assignments are based on each book
and should have already been handed
out to students but are also available on
the LMC page of Trinity’s website.
2.
Each student must choose 1 of the 16
choices from the “You Choose” Book
List and complete the assignment. This
list may be found in several places: on
the LMC page on Trinity’s website,
Barnes and Nobel in Florissant, or the St.
Louis County Library website. The “You
Choose” instructions as well as the
assignment form can also be found on
the LMC page. The form should be
downloaded and typed on directly.
SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY
Anyone interested in helping on
Book Distribution Day(s) in August,
for SERVICE HOURS, please call the
office at school to sign up. Help will
be needed on Sunday, August 14 to
set up and on Monday, August 15,
pick up day.
FUNDRAISING FEE
Trinity Parents: Donʼt forget about the $300 mandatory Fundraising Fee that is
due for the 2011-12 school year. The fee may be paid at any time in the Trinity
Advancement Office or through the mail until Monday, August 15. If the Fundraising
Fee is not paid on or before August 15, your student will not be allowed to pick up
his or her schedule and textbooks.
When the fee is paid, $400 worth of $5 Trinity Treasures Raffle Tickets will be issued
to each family, meaning each Trinity family will have the opportunity to sell the
tickets, keep the money collected, “pay itself back” and even profit $100 if all of the
tickets are sold. Ticket stubs must be returned to the Trinity Advancement Office by
Thursday, October 20 so they can be entered into the drawing that will take place
Saturday, October 22 at the Trinity Treasures Dinner Auction. Prizes this year have
increased to $5,000, $2,000, $1,000 and two $500 winners.
Paying the Fundraising Fee fulfills all fundraising responsibilities for each Trinity
family other than those associated with an organization or sports team with which
your child may be involved. Checks for the Fundraising Fee may be made out to
Trinity Catholic High School and mailed to 1720 Redman Road, St. Louis, MO
63138. Please indicate “Fundraising Fee” on the envelope.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Academics at Trinity
“Where Everyone Makes a Difference”
Ms. Nancy Lydon, Principal
The 2010-2011 school year has flown by. Looking back on all
that has been accomplished at Trinity Catholic High School
evokes feelings of amazement, wonder, gratitude, and a bit of
exhaustion. Personally, I want to thank you for your support,
patience, and prayers. This has been a great year and that
could not have been accomplished without the cooperation of
students, parents, faculty, and staff. God has truly blessed the
Trinity Catholic High School community.
Congratulations to the members of Trinity’s Class of 2011, the
newest members of the TCHS alumni. Their graduation
ceremony was a beautiful celebration of their hard work,
accomplishments, and bright futures. The class continued their
celebration at the Lock-In sponsored by the TPO.
On Tuesday, May 24, the faculty gathered for the last time this
year. We were treated to a tasty lunch provided by Food
Service Consultants. We took time to pray in thanksgiving for a
wonderful school year. We also offered thanks and good wishes
to the faculty who are moving on from Trinity. Our thanks and
congratulations to Diane Relleke who will be enjoying the
relaxation that comes with retirement. We sadly say good-bye
and wish special blessings to Amanda Mathews, Michelle
Johnson, and Greg Fischer. Each of them will be continuing
their careers at other schools. Our chaplain Father Anthony
Ochoa will also be leaving Trinity and fulfilling a full-time position
of associate at Holy Trinity parish. May the blessing of the
Trinity go with them.

TPO NEWS
On Friday, May 20, the TPO hosted the 2011 Senior Lock-‐In at the Edward Jones YMCA in Maryland Heights. Out new graduates enjoyed swimming, magic and improv shows, and playing casino games. All graduates received prizes and 21 lucky graduates won large raffle items including a television, Nook, Cardinal Jckets, camping equipment, and much more. We wish our graduates well and extend a huge thank you to the many parents who helped plan and work during the evening of the lock-‐In. A special thanks to junior parent, BernadeRe Dalton, for serving as this year’s chairperson.
CAMPUS MINISTRY
Ms. Eileen Goeke & Fr. Anthony Ochoa
The final weeks of the 2010-2011 school year have been busy
ones! Trinity Catholic High School celebrated our Marian Mass
on Thursday, May 5th.
A wonderful Baccalaureate liturgy
recognizing the Trinity Catholic High School Class of 2011 took
place on Thursday, May 19th at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
Fr. Anthony Ochoa was the celebrant and our Guidance
Counselor, Michelle Johnson and her husband Nick along with
some talented TCHS students led the music for the celebration.
Best wishes and God Bless our class of 2011!
The Missions Team raised $300.00 through donations during
our “Rock-a-thon.” Students kept two rocking chairs “rocking” in
the gallery during the entire day.
Pledges and on sight
donations were collected and items were purchased for new
mothers struggling to provide necessary items for care of
newborns once leaving the hospital. The onesies, sleepers, and
packs of diapers were given to St. Mary’s Heath Center.
Our students are our strength and our blessing. They have
worked hard this year and achieved many things. Their
accomplishments have been tremendous, in the classroom, in
athletic and scholastic competition, in the theater, providing
service, and demonstrating daily what it means to be Titans
making a difference.
We at Trinity Catholic High School want to say thank-you to Fr.
Ochoa for the year of dedicated service he gave to us. Fr.
Ochoa will be serving full time at his parish in the coming year.
We hope he will be able to join us next school year for our all
school liturgies and stop by to visit.
Fr. Ochoa, you will be
missed!
May the summer months be safe and relaxing for you and your
families. Remember that you can reach us for anything you
might need. Beginning June 6, office hours will be Monday
through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Let us join each other in thanking God for the many blessings
we received during this school year, and offer our prayers for a
safe and restful summer!
Eileen Goeke, Campus Minister
God bless.
UNIFORM REMINDER
INCOMING FRESHMAN PARENTS
Now is the time to make your son or daughterʼs doctor
appointments for their student physical over the summer. Donʼt
wait until August. PHYSICALS MUST BE ON FILE AT TRINITY
BY THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Physical forms were sent to
parents with acceptance letters. Additional forms are available in
the main office.
CAFETERIA MEAL CARDS
Cafeteria MEAL CARDS for the 2011-12 school year may be
purchased on Book and Schedule Pick-up Day, August 15. A
minimum of $25.00 is required for your first card or to add to your
card. The meal card is an option and is used like a debit card to
purchase school lunches.
Please order your school uniforms AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Orders placed after August 1, will probably NOT be here in time
for the first day of school. There is no grace period for uniform
wear. All students must be in uniform beginning with the first day
of school.
LMC RECYCLING PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR HELP
The Library Media Center needs to acquire new computer chairs for the LMC/Lab. Currently there are funds available in the computer printer cartridge/cell phone recycling program to nearly cover the cost of the chairs. In order to complete acquiring the necessary funds, please save your old computer laser and ink jet cartridges and cell phones for recycling. These may be turned in to the LMC or the main ofBice. Thank you for your help.

From the
Office of the President
Dear Parents of Trinity Titans,
Sr. Karl Mary Winkelmann
The 2010-2011 school year is a WRAP! The school year has been filled with
challenges and blessings. We thank God for all of them knowing that in His
wisdom “everything works together for good” if we have trust in Him.
Let me brag about the Class of 2011 numbering 102 graduates. Some major
accomplishments include:





15,000 hours of Community service given
42% of the class received scholarships totally $2.1 million dollars
Graduates have been accepted at the usual state universities as
well as the following: St. Louis University, Maryville University, Avila
College, Quincy University, St. John’s University, Lincoln University
(Pennsylvania), Graceland University, Rockhurst University. This
does not exhaust the list.
Our graduates on the track team will be running in the State
Tournament on May 26 and 27.
Thanks to the Trinity Parent Organization, the graduates enjoyed
their senior lock in after graduation at the Cathedral Basilica of St.
Louis. The lock in was held at the Maryland Heights YMCA. A fun
time was had by all.
The Class of 2015, our incoming freshmen, numbers 76 enrolled with ten more
students in process of registering. We are building a scholarship fund to offer
tuition assistance. Thanks to the Today and Tomorrow Foundation, we
received a grant of $30,000 and have secured an additional $60,000 in
matching money thanks to past Rosary parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Gallagher and Rosary alum, Don Davis, class of 1978, who said, “I will always
remember and love my North County roots”. One of the initiatives in place to
secure more students is to offer a FINDER’S FEE of $500 to any present
parent who brings in a new student to register.
On behalf of our entire faculty and staff I thank you for the sacrifices you have
made to send your sons and daughters to Trinity. We are grateful for the trust
and confidence you have placed in us by giving us your MOST VALUABLE
RESOURCE – your SON or DAUGHTER!
Best wishes for an enriching, refreshing and restful summer. May the love of
the Father enfold us, the wisdom of the Son enlighten us, the fire of the Spirit
enflame us, and may the blessing of the Triune God rest on us and abide with
us now and evermore.
