Defending Kg Kerinchi Traders
Tues, 9 Oct After being threatened numerous times by
DBKL with eviction, the traders of the pasar malam in Kg

then invited them, along with YB Tian Chua (MP for Batu) and
YB Lim Lip Eng (MP for Segambut) to meet with the KL
Mayor, to get clear answers as to the future of this biweekly

Unfortunately, the KL Mayor was not available for this meet,
for unknown reasons.
Even so, a few days after this, news was received that the
traders have been allowed to relocate to Vista Angkasa,
across from their old location and next to the Universiti LRT
station.
Congratulations to all who have fought for and defended the
Kg Kerinchi traders!
Compensation for Traders
Twitter
Fri, 12 Oct After a long and tough battle to be compensated
for the loss of their shoplots in Block L of Flat PKNS 4
Tingkat Kg Kerinchi, a group of 9 traders received some
monetary compensation from PKNS even though it is not
actually the developer for this redevelopment project.
It is hope that with this small token, it would ease the burden
of these traders in their efforts to rebuild their businesses.
"Where is our money going?"
Sun, 14 Oct Over 150 people (and in fact 50 more were
turned away) attended a very exciting session to discuss the
Budget 2013 and Pakatan Rakyat's alternative budget, held at
Hailam Kopitiam, Lucky Garden, Bangsar.
In this twoandahalf hour program, numerous topics were
discussed including the mountainous public debt (estimated
at RM502b come 2013, with approximately RM116b in
contingent liabilities), the implementation of GST should BN
win 13GE, as well as the economic promises and policies of
Pakatan Rakyat should (or, as some attendees put it, when) it
takes over Putrajaya.
Listening to the People
Sun, 14 Oct YB Nurul Izzah attended a small gathering of
concerned residents at the OUG Industrial Park, Jalan 2/152,
to hear their complaints and grouses with regards an
upcoming development project which has left them without an
important access road. In this session, some 15 residents
had gathered to urge YB Nurul Izzah to bring this matter to
the attention of the media, in the hopes that it will pressure
the developer to open up again that access road.
PreDeepavali Contributions
Sat, 13 Oct YB Nurul Izzah today presented contributions to
81 residents of Taman Seri Sentosa who will be celebrating
Deepavali soon. These contributions, in the form of perishable
goods like rice and other items, is hoped to be able to help
them with their preparations.
