Greater Houston Gun Club invites you to the 2015
Briley Blue Goose. Last year the Goose returned in full
force. This year is no different and we are at it again.
We are always coming up with new ways to keep things
interesting and exciting.
The 2015 Goose will be an action packed weekend with
big money and tons of prizes. To keep with tradition the
usual Blue Goose bounty will be plentiful for all.
In typical Blue Goose fashion our prelim is new and
improved, boasting 75 targets spread over three rounds
of “Combination Skeet”. Shooters will bypass stations 7
& 8 and will circle back to 5, 4 and 3 shooting doubles to
finish the round. Just like practice, right? Nope, ...allow
me to finish. Doubles will be shot with a .1 second
delay on the second target using Briley’s new “Doubles
101” trainer which teaches you how to shift your eyes
so you can finally become an accomplished doubles
shooter, as advertised in the Skeet Review. But wait...
this is the Blue Goose we are talking about. We will also
have a Mulligan feature to this prelim. Each class may
purchase a Mulligan, limited to two , ALL MULLIGAN
MONEY RETURNED TO CLASS! Mulligans do not apply
to gun champ etcetera or any other thing other than
class money. Should be fun and loaded with class money.
Maximum score is a 75...
We have great prizes lined up for the prelim. Prelim HOA
will take home a 12ga J Manton English made side by
side hammer gun with 30” Damascus twist steel barrels.

events for the (now signature) Briley Blue Goose sterling
silver money clips. If you didn’t get one last year you
definitely want to try again this year. They are absolutely
beautiful.
The main event payouts are certainly up to par with
an additional $5,000 up for grabs for a handicapped
400x400. Details for the handicap will be outlined in
the program. Main Event HOAs name will be inscribed
on the “Bender’s Choice monument” for all to see. Give
away galore! You thought there was a lot last year? The
Main event will be the usual set up. Get your registration
forms turned in early to secure the rotations you prefer.
If you’re planning to bring your RV down to stay on site
be sure to indicate that on your registration form.
The weekend is set! Targets are ordered, machines set
and referees are ready. Please be our guest and enjoy
some of Briley and GHGC’s top notch hospitality. Come,

twist on these stations as the second target will have exactly a

Prelim Mulligans are available. Two mulligans max per person. $10 each and
all money is returned to class. Your score plus mulligans are only eligible for
class awards. Lewis class shoot-offs and Prelim champ are based on raw
score.
