Nominations will be accepted in writing and delivered to the Chamber office by
post, hand-delivery or email ([email protected]) only from members in
Good Standing. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber Office and on
the Chamber Website. Posted, delivered, or emailed nominations will be
accepted until November 12th, 2008 until 12:00pm. After which, additional
nominations may be taken from the floor of the General meeting conducted that
evening at 6:00pm (location to be determined).

September Chamber Mixer—Please RSVP!
On Wednesday, September 3rd, the Chamber Mixer is going to be held at River’s
End Inn & Restaurant in beautiful Jenner. Due to limited parking space we are
organizing a Carpool for members wanting to join us on this lovely evening.

at 5:15pm, and will depart no later than 5:30pm.

Chamber Booth @ Jazz Festival
Omega Events has invited the Chamber of Commerce to enjoy another booth
space at the Russian River “Jazz on the River” Festival, September 6th &
7th. We plan on providing to visitors and festival goers vital information on
the area, including a restaurant, activity, and lodging concierge service,
provided by our very own Evan Severe.
We encourage all Chamber Members to drop by a packet of about 50 pieces
of your business card, rack card, brochure, or Menu. The deadline will be Friday, September

Calabash—Gourd Art Preview @ Quicksilver

A Preview Exhibition benefiting Food for Thought - Sonoma County AIDS Food
Bank
CALABASH: A CELEBRATION OF GOURDS, ART & THE GARDEN
Sunday, October 5, 2008, 1 - 5 pm

Food For Thought, the Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank, and the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center present
this fun event featuring a silent auction of fine gourd art, an exhibit of gourd instruments from around the
world, live demonstrations in creating gourd art, tours of Food For Thought’s beautiful organic gardens, and
seasonal organic food and wine from Sonoma County’s bountiful harvest. Throughout the day, musicians will
entertain guests with a variety of hand-made gourd instruments.
Over 100 artists have been invited to participate this year, including many well-known Sonoma County and Bay
Area gourd artists, some of whom will be displaying their gourd art work for the very first time, bringing their
own artistic sensibilities and magic to the gourd form.

Nominations can only be received from Members in Good Standing. All nominations
should be received by October 26th, 2008 to be included on the mailed ballot. Additional
nominations will be accepted until November 12th, 2008, at which date the election will take
place with “write in” nominees as necessary.

Nominee is a Member in Good Standing of the Chamber. Nominee will provide a written
statement of not more than fifty words to be included on the official ballot.
Nominee understands that it is a requirement as a Director of the Board of the Chamber of
Commerce to attend all regularly meetings of the Chamber, to serve on at least ONE
committee of the Chamber and to work in accordance with the ByLaws of the Chamber of
Commerce.
