We are proud to Introduce…
Symmetry eBanking is here! Effective June 1st, our Online, Mobile, and Bill Pay platforms bear a new
name – Symmetry eBanking.
We are very excited about this change. Symmetry eBanking is our new name for what was
previously known as MemberEdge Online Banking 3.1, and MemberEdge Mobile 3.0. After nearly
nine years, we’ve elected to discontinue use of the MemberEdge brand. In its place, Symmetry
has been selected because in the past year, we have learned repeatedly about the importance
of having symmetry and alignment across the credit union’s business. Your online and mobile
channels are at their very best when those channels are aligned with each other, and with the
credit union’s business strategy.
What’s more – its crucial that we stay aligned with you as a strategic partner for your digital
channel services. We want a product name that daily reminds us of this alignment. The concept
of symmetry captures the essence both of who we are and who we aspire to be.
With this new name, we’ve created a new product logo and tagline, as you see above. In the
months ahead, you’ll see this name and logo incorporated on marketing material you receive.
Symmetry eBanking joins the family of newly branded products at WRG, including Tellergy branch
devices, and Unitri Service Bureau. MemberEdge will remain as the name for our legacy versions
of Online Banking (up to version 3.0.48), and Mobile Banking (up to 3.0.400).

Client Spotlight
Each WRG Quarterly Newsletter Client Spotlight features one of our 200+ clients whom we are proud to
have as part of our dedicated community. This issue features a thriving credit union in the southern United
States – Grow Financial Federal Credit Union.
Grow Financial’s roots were planted in 1955 to serve the military community based in Tampa, Florida. The
credit union originally signed up with Wescom Resources Group, LLC for online banking solutions in 2007 as
MacDill Federal Credit Union, named so as the members were employees of the MacDill Air Force Base. Sixty
years later, the institution has bloomed with over $2.2 billion in assets, a new name, and a place on Fortune
Magazine’s list of “Best Workplaces for Millennials.” The credit union has also earned a reputation for savvy
marketing as a recipient of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s Diamond Award and a
repeated chart-topper on The Financial Brand’s quarterly “Power 100” rankings of credit unions using social
media.
Brad Sears, Chief Information Officer at Grow Financial, spoke with us about how they use technology to
help facilitate members’ lives beyond everyday financial
transactions. In addition to accessible online and mobile
banking channels, Grow offers a personal financial
management solution aptly titled “Flourish.” Flourish
automatically adds a member’s credit union shares to
the money manager interface, can connect with the
member’s third-party accounts and allows the user to
evaluate their financial health from the security of their
credit union’s online or mobile portals. Brad personally
uses this software quite a bit and finds the categorization
system in Flourish to be better than the popular money
management applications unintegrated with financial
institutions.
What’s next for Grow Financial? The credit union is
continuing to plant seeds for future prosperity through both internal improvement and external expansion.
Grow Financial is currently conducting a branding analysis with the intent to change, not the name, but the
message that goes out. They are going beyond the traditional way credit unions
use demographics by generating member personas and crafting products for
those different personas. The credit union also grounded themselves in South
Carolina in 2013, where they opened the first Grow location outside their home
state. “Florida is tapped out. It’s saturated with credit unions,” Brad explained,
“We did market research to find where credit union market penetration is poor.
We looked at Charleston, we looked at Columbia, and the more we dug, the
more we saw it was ripe for new business.” They were correct. In their first month in
the Palmetto State, Grow had thirty to forty dealers for their in-direct loan
program. The new branches ditched the traditional format, favoring a teller pod
concept and sales-oriented approach. Following the growth of their business in
South Carolina and loan programs in various neighboring states, the credit union
will be considering store opportunities in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia.

WRG Client Conference Recap
Our focus for our conference this year was to connect with you, our clients, and show a little behind
the scenes of what we are working on at WRG. We did this with three guest speakers, eight partner
vendors, dozens of our staff and one really large yacht! For those of you who could not join us,
below is a brief recap of some major themes…
Our conference started with an inspiring keynote address from event emcee, Andy Janning, from
NO NET Solutions. His main focus was improving business relationships through active listening (“Help
me understand”) – which fits tightly with our goal of connecting with you as our clients.
Tim Dolan, President of WRG, continued with a Behind the Scenes review of our operations designed
to serve our clients. This includes our streamlining of products and client base to become a better
boutique provider.
From there, three topics prevailed through the rest of the week:
Implementations and Support – our teams have worked diligently to enhance our rollout process for
conversions and updates. We’ve also made significant strides on open case queues, reducing
queue sizes and lowering average resolution time.
Disaster Recovery and Security – While we continue to provide excellent products and services, we
understand that behind those products is a lot of member information that requires world class
security and availability. To enable this, we use three data centers, and have a recently redesigned
load balanced server architecture that provides the highest system uptime in our history. In addition
our security team deploys the latest in security measures to protect your data – including new
monitoring systems, new firewall technology, and intrusion detection.
Roadmap and New Developments – We announced Symmetry eBanking – the new name of our
flagship product. Symmetry replaces the MemberEdge suite of products and refers to our newest
3.1 platform of OLB and 3.0 for mobile. With all of our efforts focused on these channels, we have
already rolled out some amazing new features with many more in various stages of development for
2016 and 2017.
