Thank you to Brian Roeder and Barrel Oak Winery for hosting MHF’s Wine & Whiskers. We’d

heard that MHF is responsible feeding more
than 40 cats for several lower income families
plus multiple feral colonies & running low on
food, he immediately sent help!

LAILA, DAISY, POPPY, & UNO
Four little 6-year-old pygmy goats were attacked by
either dogs or coyotes were brought to MHF as the
owners were unable to provide veterinary care for
them. The poor little girls are not in good condition, have parasites, and are anemic. We’re glad
they came to MHF so that they can heal and stay
warm during this bitter cold winter! Thanks to Dr.
Beth Eichberger, they were given pain management, wound care & medications upon arrival. They
are now resting comfortably and seem to like their
new home with cushy straw & a heat lamp! Dr.
Beth Eichberger of Fauquier Large Animal Veterinary Services donates her services to MHF and always makes herself available to us, now look at
these wonderful coats she just bought for our new
goats. Thank you so much, Dr. Eichberger!!!
HOPE
This beautiful young Bull Dog was transferred to
MHF from a county shelter. Someone had left her in
their outdoor pen overnight and the county shelter
workers found her the next morning. She was covered in feces, emaciated, had open sores and was
vomiting. She was transferred to MHF and we immediately sent her for emergency vet care. Her
physical exam, chest films & blood-work showed
that she had a raging upper respiratory infection,
sarcoptic mange, was malnourished, dehydrated,
and anemic. After hospitalization with IV fluids,
antibiotics, and supportive care, we brought her
back to the shelter. We named her “Hope” as she
was very, very debilitated, and we needed to take it
one day at a time. Over the past few weeks, she has
continued to improve and receive medical
care. She is a very loving little girl.
HEIDI
Heidi is an adorable little Shih-Tzu. She take her
time to get to know people, but once she does, she
is super affectionate! She would love a home where
she can be a couch potato and sit with you all
day! She is great with other dogs and cats.
SHILOH
This happy little guy REALLY loves people! He
would prefer to sit on your lap than do just about
anything else! He likes dogs and cats, but especially
loves people! Shiloh is extremely affectionate and
absolutely hilarious when he plays with his toys and
chases after balls.
DIXIE
Very pretty Dixie has a very expressive face, you can
always tell what she is thinking. She is slow to get
to know you, but once she does, she is really excited to see you and is very affectionate. She’s great
on a lead and is just getting to know everyone at
the shelter.
Leesburg Veterinary Hospital is generously offering
a courtesy exam for any pet adopted from Middleburg Humane Foundation.
Anicira Veterinary Center is giving MHF 60 free
feral spays/neuters (not including cost of required
Rabies vaccine) in April! Thank you, Anicira Veterinary Center for your very generous donation!
