The
Animal Rescue Site & Animal Lifeline. This grant
was aimed at improving our current facility & improving the lives of the pets in our care. A great big thank
you to each & every person that donated their time!
Our Compassion Feral Cat Program is still in full
swing. We helped 24 cats from Mathias, WV
through our TNR (Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return)
program. We also trapped 2 cats & caught 2 kittens
here in Marshall behind the IGA. The cats were
spayed & returned. The kittens were only about 5
weeks old , so they are currently in a foster home for
socialization & will be adopted when they are older.
This little dog ran around in Rectortown
since early spring. He was very fearful so
you could not get near him. Hilleary had a
trap set but never any luck. Thankfully
with the help of Pennygent Farm, we finally caught him! We have named him Norman
(after a lovely old man who lived in Rectortown for over 80 years). Norman is still
very scared & untrusting but we will give
him many weeks of gentle words & yummy
food before we ask anything of him.
After weeks of trapping, we were
finally able to capture this pig who we
have named Forrest. He “appeared”
at
the
Livestock
Exchange
in
Marshall. We are not sure if he was
dumped there or if he was a stowaway
on one of the trailers that stopped at
the livestock. He is currently being
trained using a clicker & is available
for adoption.
