WEL COM E
to the 92nd
Whitley County 4-H Fair
It is my pleasure to invite you to visit the 2016 Whitley County 4-H
Fair. For over 90 years, the community has come together once
a year to celebrate this annual rite of summer. The 4-H Fair is
where generations of folks have come to catch up with friends,
and enjoy watching the youth of our community exhibit the
projects they have been working on, so hard over the past year.
Entertainment events are always a great way to unwind at the
end of a busy day at the 4-H Fair. We are excited to be bringing
the 2nd annual large national country concert to the 4-H Fair, and
we are introducing a new event in Whitley County’s Toughest
Truck Contest. New and exciting changes to the demolitions
derbies and the addition of Tractors to the 4-Wheel Drive Truck
Pull will surely be a hit.
Stop in and check out the many projects located in the 4-H
Center, including the 10 year member exhibits. Don’t forget to
swing in and see the Mini 4-H projects in the shelter house, and
visit the Agricultural Museum and Learning center to learn more
about the history of agriculture in Whitley County. The 4-H
Fair also brings the chance to get your fill of the famous 4-H Ice
Cream. Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry, Lemon, Twist,
or my favorite Maple. Everyone is thankful that there are 7 days
to get to try them all.
A vast majority of the people you see helping with the 4-H Fair
are Volunteers. To all of you who have jumped in to help in one
way or another, I say thank you! A special THANK YOU to the
4-H Inc. Board of Directors for doing an awesome job coming
together as a team, and getting everything ready for this year’s
4-H Fair. Because of everyone’s efforts, the Whitley County 4-H
Fair will continue to be the envy of most every fair in the state.
The Whitley County 4-H Fair is a tradition and an event that you
certainly don’t want to miss.
Hope to see you there!!!
Jeff Geiger, President
Whitley County 4-H Clubs Inc.

Volunteers are needed at the Whitley County 4-H Fair
