EARLY MACHINES (Ages 5-8)
15SU-134
Using the proven Lego Engineering Curriculum students will learn the basic science and engineering concepts used to
create simple machines. Students will engage with “Sam” and “Sara” (Lego people who are siblings) and their many
adventures. As Sam and Sara encounter
new challenges, the students will step in
to create and build simple models such as:
a seesaw, a rolling vehicle, a spinning top,
a pirate ship, a swing set, and many more.
By playing with and manipulating the
models, students will experience pulleys,
levers, gears, wheels and axles – all the
while exploring energy, buoyancy and
balance. Watch them build their self esteem as they build their projects! This is
an exciting camp for BOTH boys and
girls as they will be able to relate to Sam
and Sara and their adventures. Each student will finish with a WOW (Worlds of
Wonder) Certificate of Completion.

LEGO ENGINEERING
MOTORIZED MACHINES/
ROBOTICS (Ages 8-12)
15SU-135
Students will use a variety of Lego kits to
build motorized machines and investigate
the principles of simple machines, mechanisms and structures. They will experiment with balanced and unbalanced forces
and friction, measure distance, time, speed,
weight and much more. Students are sure
to be excited to test their motorized machines and then wreck it and re-build them
with different engineering constraints.
Students will also spend time working
with LEGO WE-DO ROBOTICS, where
they will follow design instructions to
build and program Lego robots! Each student will finish with a WOW (Worlds of
Wonder) Certificate of Completion.

bullying, stress and friendship. Finally, our
camp will address safety and first aid as we
discuss stranger encounters, online dangers,
and social media. We will also practice
basic first aid in case of injury to themselves or others. Students will engage in
exercise, crafts, games, acting / drama and
hands on first aid to learn the importance of
living well. Group games will encourage
cooperation and friendship, and our daily
activity of “What would you do if...” will
encourage deep thought, problem solving
and logic. This camp is excellent for BOTH
boys and girls to learn important “real
