Chautauqua Institution is a location for continuing education. It is well known for its annual nine week summer season, filled with a variety of programming around the four pillars of Education, Religion, the Arts and Recreation. During the spring and fall months all the world class educational and performance spaces become available for private use. With a variety of unique meeting venues available, the Conference Center can accommodate any group. Playing host to recreational skating, youth and adult hockey programs, and competitive figure skating throughout the year. Also, may be used for trade show, consumer show, graduation, concert, and special events space. Jamestown Savings Bank Arena has held major concert events including Clint Black, Kenny Rogers, Yes and Asia, REO Speedwagon, Aaron Tippin, Travis Tritt, Michael W Smith, and Sean Patrick McGraw. In 2010, the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena hosted the IIHF World Junior Championship preliminary camp which brought the Slovakian, Russian, Norwegian, and American International Hockey clubs to Chautauqua County prior to their games in Buffalo. The teams utilized page 14 www.tourchautauqua.com the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena as a practice facility and exhibition site before the main tournament at HSBC Arena. Jamestown Ironmen arrive for their Inaugural 2011-2012 season fall 2011. The Jamestown Ironmen are part of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) which is the longest running junior league in the US and produces collegiate and professional players. The Jamestown Savings Bank Arena also has had events such as the WWE, Jordan World Circus, the Royal Lippizanner Stallions, and will be the host site of the 2011 Eastern Sectionals for US Figure Skating in November 2011. Along with the 2 NHL sized floor spaces Jamestown Savings Bank Arena offers the Arena Club which can hold 250 people for meetings and conferences. Also new in 2011 is Sully’s Irish Pub ARENA CLUB which offers daily lunches 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday and event based hours on weekends.
