FASHION
WEEK 2016
The 3rd annual Delray Beach Fashion Week
transformed Downtown from January 16-23 with
fashion Shows, runway events, a designer
showcase, beauty clinics, a hair show, and of
course shopping.
With 13 events and more than 70 models
showcasing over 300 looks throughout the week,
hundreds of people attended the events, and
the sold out fashion show runway seats raised
more than $7,000 for the Achievement
Centers for Children & Families, as well as Old
School Square and the Rapunzel Project.
Created by the Delray Beach Downtown
Development Authority and the local merchants,
Delray Beach Fashion Week was led this year by
committee members:
Jule Guaglardi, Owner, Roxy Lulu; Jelena Loverich,
Owner LoveRich Boutique; Margaret Doerrer,
Owner, Margaux Riviera; Mary Ann Brown, Master
Stylist, In the Grove Hair Salon; and Glavidia Alexis,
Owner, Glavidia’s Hair Studio.
The event was a great opportunity for the more
than 65 participating businesses to showcase their
merchandise, designs, and create in-store events.

Saturday, January 16th
The opening night event,
HAVANA NIGHTS, which took
place in front of the Colony
Hotel, began a week filled with
style, beauty, and glamorous
ways to experience the historic
resort town of Delray.
• Featured 3 video screens
promoting the 26 retailers and
10 salons that participated in
the show.
• Included a Pop Up Fashion
vendor tent, where 8 local
retailers sold merchandise.
• Featured Live Entertainment
with Flamenco dancing

The EVENING WEAR & DESIGNER
SHOW was held at the Delray Beach
Marriott, and showcased fashion
from elegant to extraordinary,
highlighting designs found from
over 23 boutiques for both men and
women.
Eleven of Downtown Delray Beach
fashion designers showcased their
lines and shared why they love
Delray Beach.
Showcased over 100 looks from 10
hair salons.
BEACH SWIM & SURF SHOW
Saturday, January 23rd
The finale event, Beachside
Glamour SWIM & SURF SHOW
featured 10 hair salons and
more than 16 fashion retailers
showcasing Delray SURF &
SWIM in the streets and on the
runway at Worthing Park.

Ideas for Next Year’s Fashion Week
•Have an AFTER-PARTY
•Have Kiosks near the shows that promote the participating merchants
•Partner with Modeling Agency (all of the Advertising Agencies in Delray
•work with Modeling Agencies)
•Have 1 restaurant pair with each boutique
•Plan on having an “Interest Meeting” and Presentation for FW’17 presented by
DDA & committee
•Conduct door-to-door presentations (most impactful way to secure participants)
•Provide/include seats for each participating merchant at EACH event
•Mobile “Shop from the Show” may help generate more income
•Tag Hair Salons in the photos to increase exposure
•Show ROI/Media Impact to entire city, participants, attendees, sponsors, etc.
•Create a designer profile video
