Please Note
All transfer of embryos is between the buyer and the seller.
HOW TO ACQUIRE YOUR PURCHASES
• After you, the BUYER, have made payment for your embryos or semen, the sale staff will notify the seller that your
purchase has been paid in full.
• Once the embryos or semen have been paid for in full by the BUYER, they will be released in the BUYER’S name,
by the SELLER, at the storage facility for the said purchase.
• It is the complete responsibility of the BUYER to call the SELLER and request shipping, or call the storage facility
and extend the storage contract under your name.
• It is the complete responsibility of the SELLER to release the embryos and semen into the name of the BUYER, once
they have been notified of full payment, and to arrange this understanding with the storage facility.
• The sale staff is not responsible for any semen or embryos not secured into the name of the new owner within one
year of the sale.
• As a BUYER, we suggest that you make contact with the storage facility or the SELLER to make clear your intentions of shipping or leaving the embryos or semen in storage.
• NEW THIS YEAR: THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS and/or INSURANCE on EMBRYOS

GUARANTEE OF EMBRYO PURCHASES
The sale staff guarantees that each embryo package consists of Grade One and/or Grade Two embryos that have been
frozen by a reputable source. All embryos selling are either ET or IVF direct thaw. We will guarantee Grade Two embryos just like Grade Ones and feel that the eggs we are representing are of the best quality. On behalf of the seller,
we will not represent low grade embryos or embryos that are not collected through reputable facilities.
Sellers acknowledge that they understand they are responsible for guarantees made by the sale staff and that they will
help take reasonable actions to insure that the buyers of their lots are satisfied with their purchases.
SPECIAL GUARANTEE
Unless otherwise noted, sellers of embryo lots will guarantee the establishment of at least one 60-day pregnancy per
three embryos transferred, if the following conditions are met:
A. The transfers must take place in the calendar year of the sale date.
B. Transfers are performed by a licensed embryologist.
C. Buyers of embryo packages that fail to establish at least one pregnancy will be given credit in next year’s sale, or
additional embryos from the seller from the same mating, or if the buyer chooses another of similar value.
REFERENCES TO CLONED SEMEN
All embryos sired by semen from a clone will be referred to as sired by that sire’s original name. For example, a mating listed as sired by Monopoly may be sired by original or clone semen.

A
s the partners and founders of Embryos on Snow, we are proud to generate a program that recognizes
leading young people who are a part of our industry. The primary goal of La Prix is to allow this sale to give
back to an outstanding youth who has a dream and a goal of building a business or starting a project at the
front of their young professional life. It is profound that the sharing of these genetics, that many do not have
to sell, can go toward helping a program like La Prix.
The 2015 La Prix awarded $10,000 to its winner and $3,000 to the runner up. The award for 2015 was
funded by the commissions from the 2014 sale, in addition to the generous donation of Trans Ova Genetics.
In 2016, we will award a total of $18,000 in three scholarships, with the winner receiving $10,000, first
runner up $5,000 and second runner up $3,000. This year’s scholarship is made possible by the major
Embryos On Snow sponsors and through the purchase of the donation lots in 2015. We appreciate the
tremendous added support and help.
All judging for the La Prix contest is done independently and anonymously. The judges for the final selection
of the 2016 winner and runners up will be announced prior to the naming of this year’s recipients.

➤ LOT A: Selling 50% Semen Interest, Full Possession & Semen Inventory
• You have heard the names Meyer, Cunia, Irish Whiskey, 6807 and other maternal giants for over two to three decades now. Their presence in the
pedigrees of many cattle is undisputable, and the value that they bring to the table from maternal and economical standpoints is far reaching. You
can add Maternal Made to that list of long staying, great maternal sires. He is here to stay.
• With limited semen used in the Chad Thompson and Dave Caffee herds, his progeny were the talk of the North country pasture sales. Dave Caffee
sold only three heifer calves, with a top of $47,000. Caffee bred his three-year-old cows to Maternal Made, and the set of calves he has still at his
place are more than impressive, to say the least. Chad Thompson also used Maternal Made, and these heifers are “not for sale” at this time. Another
heifer calf sold for $18,000 in Troy Beckett’s sale to Blaine Rodgers; these were the only four heifers calves we heard of selling in 2015. The proof in
this young sire is in his first progeny.
• About every 10 to 15 years a bull like this pops up, and we were lucky enough to secure the chance to sell this new phenom at auction here at the
2016 Embryos On Snow. As many great breeders say about a good bull, “It isn’t about what he costs, it’s about the revenue he is going to generate
and the daughters that he will leave.”
• Many people are in line for semen. The semen was pulled off the market in mid-December and won’t be sold again to the general public until after
this sale. The seller receives 1608 units collected at Nichols in Iowa and Genex in South Dakota that is in inventory. As the new owner, you are
purchasing 50% semen interest and full possession. The new owner/s will receive all revenue until their initial investment has been returned to them
at a rate of 110% of purchase price to cover advertising and collection expenses. Once the 110% return is received in semen sales, the revenue will
be split 50/50, minus collection and advertising expenses.
• No sexed semen has been collected on this bull to this point. All semen since the printing of this catalog will be charged to the new owner at cost.
Maternal Made currently resides at Nichols in Iowa. The bull is never to be leased for natural breeding purposes to prevent injury. Insurance is the
sole responsibility of each owner. DNA rights are equally shared by all owners. Each seller retains 100 units per year for in-herd semen use, which
cannot ever be sold and/or given away.

• When we heard about this bull and his full sister last fall, we thought we needed to make a trip to Bridwell’s. Several of what could be called the best
“eyes” in the business tried buying this powerhouse; however, Bridwells decided the fairest way would be to offer him at auction. Here’s your chance!
• This is an opportunity to buy a son of a cow that is arguably one of the best club calf cows in the business. He is sired by the new up-and-coming bull
Loaded Up. Loaded Up semen will only be sold in this sale and one other sale this year. His semen supply is very limited.

• The embryos selling are full sibs to the 2015 North American International Livestock Exposition Grand Champion Steer shown by the Kroupa Family.
As a calf, this steer was campaigned by the Morrow and Kroupa families and was dominant, winning champion at several jackpot shows across the
country.
• This winning and popular steer was this cow’s first and only club calf born to date. The calf born out of this cow prior to this steer was a heifer calf
sired by Cerveza and sold to Todd Rau for $17,500. It is safe to say that this cow is a sure bet. She has now been in ET production for the Ottos, and
they expect great things out of her in 2016.
• We don’t talk about this much, but the value of being able to use this picture in future advertisements come fall, selling full sibs, will be great.

• This steer was grand champion every time he was shown—now that is a big statement! That is quite an accomplishment, with his career ending as
Grand at the Royal. This steer was one of the most impressive animals to walk in 2015; judge Shane Bedwell said that he thought this KC steer was
the best fat steer he’s ever seen. Sprinkles produced not only this American Royal champion but also his full brother that was raised from an embryo
purchased by Tim Holm and was his high seller that year. The Holm steer went on to also become a champion, being named Fifth Overall at the Hoosier
Beef Congress.
• A maternal sister to the embryos selling, sired by Chopper, sold for an impressive $50,500 and went on to win Champion SimSolution at Heart Of It
All and Reserve at Scarlet and Gray.
• Sprinkles herself was a successful show heifer, winning many titles, including Reserve Grand Champion at the 2009 Maine Junior National as well as
Calf Champion at the NWSS. It is an honor to be able to offer genetics such as this lot. These embryos will not be sold again in 2016, so if you want
sibs to one of the best steers that has been campaigned, get your hand in the air!

• The embryos selling are sibs to several high sellers and show winners. The “Rowdie” donor is a full sister to the “Kelli” donor used in the Reimann
program. Both of these donors were very successfully shown, winning titles at the biggest shows in the country.
• The Lot A embryos are full sibs to a steer that sold for $52,000 in the fall of 2014 at Lucky Strike Cattle. Brandon Jones also sold a Monopoly steer
out of Rowdie for $25,000. Many other well-known champions and high sellers have been produced out of this leading donor dam.
• The Reserve Grand Steer in Kansas City was a good one, and here’s your chance to raise one just like him. Rowdie is a TH Carrier.

• We wanted to secure a bull to start the semen sale off, and here he is! Loaded Up hit the world by storm in 2015.

all year. Recently, 30 units of semen sold online, as the pressure to release this semen was great, and it averaged $640/unit.

Dear Participants:
Beginning this year, the Embryos on Snow WHITE CAPS will be made and sold only one time a year and will be
individually auctioned throughout the 2016 EOS Sale. The caps will be monogrammed and individually numbered
on the back. At the end of the sale, the buyers of the 10 caps will be in a drawing for a final special prize. The last
cap buyer standing in the drawing wins the prize. The final prize will be announced at the beginning of the sale
and on our Facebook page.
The proceeds for the EOS CAP AUCTION will be as follows: one-half of the proceeds will be divided equally
between the La Prix Scholarship finalists; the other half will go to benefit a special friend of the business.
This year our “EOS Friend of the Industry” is Mr. Lloyd Doublehead. Lloyd has been around the cattle circles for
many years and has been a good friend to many. I appreciate all that Lloyd has done to help me and the loyal
support he has given to many people throughout the years.
Each year the names of the cap purchasers from the previous year will be listed in the sale catalog and receive
recognition for their support.
