MEASURING AND HEIGHT CARD INFORMATION
Jump height cards are no longer required to be submitted with the entry form. The
entry form has a check box to indicate if the dog needs to be measured. It is the
owner's responsibility to understand the rules, and if the dog needs to be measured, it
is the owner's/handler's responsibility to ensure that the box on the entry form is
checked, and that the dog is measured prior to running.

Please consult the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for a complete description and eligibility for entry
into these classes. The exhibitor is fully responsible for entering the dog in the correct class(es)/height
divisions. Dogs running in a lower height division than they are eligible for will be eliminated.

COURSE FAMILIARIZATION AND WARM-UPS
Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, during a walk-through period
held prior to the start of the class. The walk-through is restricted to only handlers entered in that
class. Handlers with multiple dogs, at events with multiple rings may request to walk with a height
group other than the one their dog is entered in if a conflict is imminent.
A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, will be provided for exhibitors. The warm-up
area is to be used exclusively for warming up the dog and not for training or relieving of the dog.
OBSTACLES AND RING CONDITIONS
Obstacles will meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the Regulations for Agility
Trials. All classes will take place indoors on a dirt surface.
RIBBONS AND AWARDS
Rosettes will be awarded in each jump height division in each class as follows:
First Place-Blue  Second Place-Red  Third Place-Yellow  Fourth Place-White
Qualifying Score-Dark Green strip
A New Title rosette will be awarded to all dog and handler teams finishing a title. A MACH/PACH/PAX
rosette and jump bar will be awarded to all dog and handler teams that attain their MACH/PACH/PAX.
A Master’s rosette will be awarded to all dog and handler teams that attain a Master’s title.
ENTRY FEES AND ENTRY INFORMATION
First Received, Hand Delivery Statement: Paper entries received within 24 hours of the opening date
and time must: 1) include postage or be metered; 2) be delivered by a multi-state or multi-national
postal or carrier service, including but not limited to USPS, FedEx, UPS & DHL. Overnight or certified mail
must be sent with the “No Signature Required” waiver signed. Express mail entries must include the
signature waiver allowing them to be left at the secretary’s address. If above conditions are not met,
the entries are not valid and must be returned to the sender. Refer to AKC Regulations for Agility Trials
Ch 1 Sec 15 “Paper Entry Forms Per Envelope” and Sec 16 “Entry Acceptance Methods”.
No entries will be accepted by phone or fax. Illegible entries will not be processed and will be
returned to the exhibitor. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry and the Trial Secretary will
add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
Please remember entries that are not signed, are incomplete, do not include the agreement or do
not include sufficient entry fees are not valid entries and will be returned. (Chapter 11 of the “Rules
Applying to Dog Show”)
If you would like to know the status of your entry prior to the issuance of the judging schedule upon
closing, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope or postcard along with your entry. E-mail
confirmations will be sent to those listing a legible e-mail address on the entry form.

DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER
These trials are open to all dogs 15 months of age or older that are registered with the American
Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing
Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number or approved foundation Stock Service
breeds. Dogs should be physically sound. Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible, and neither
are bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which
may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandaged
in any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes. All American dogs that have been listed
with the AKC Canine Partners may participate provided their listing number has been recorded on the
entry form. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable
breeds that may participate.
MOVE-UPS
Dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the request of the owner, as a result of qualifying for an
agility title, provided that request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing before 6:00 PM, Monday,
November 21th , 2016 (CDT) preceding the event. For Saturday/Sunday move-ups, the request must
be made to the Trial Secretary in writing prior to the close of the Friday/Saturday event at the trial site.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are
free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have
appropriate vaccinations.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
SAFETY, BEHAVIOR and LIABILITY
The safety of the dog is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they
are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able
to perform all obstacles safely.
Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their own dogs. Please help us keep this site clean to
ensure we have future use.
It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or
children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create an unnecessary disturbance or repeatedly
engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the event committee, be asked to
leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. HOTC will assume no
responsibilities for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their
dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. HOTC reserves the right
to decline entries for cause and may remove any dog on account of aggression. No one shall have any
recourse or claim against HOTC or any official thereof.
All dogs must be on leash at all times when on trial grounds except when in the designated warm-up
area or competing on the course.
REFUNDS
No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil
disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond
the control of the organizing committee. No entry fee will be refunded in the event a dog is absent,
disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Event Committee.
Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in Agility Trials. HOTC will refund total entry fees less
$10 per day for bitches coming into season after the closing date. A veterinarian’s certificate must be
presented to the Trial Secretary prior to the start of judging on Friday.
Dogs sick/injured. HOTC will refund total entry fees less $10 per day for dogs that become sick/injured
after the closing date. A veterinarian’s certificate must be presented to the Trial Secretary prior to the
start of judging on Friday.
Handlers sick/injured. HOTC will refund total entry fees less $10 per day for a handler that becomes
sick or injured after the closing date. A medical doctor’s excuse on the doctor’s letterhead must be
presented to the Trial Secretary prior to the start of judging on Friday.
RINGSIDE
Judges are not required to wait for dogs. The owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it
ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a
public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not
brought into the ring when required. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their own dogs.
Please help us keep the trial site and hotels clean.

Take I-24 W toward NASHVILLE/BIRMINGHAM (Passing through GEORGIA, then crossing into
TENNESSEE). Take the US-64/US-72 exit,( EXIT 152), toward SOUTH PITTSBURG. Turn RIGHT onto
US-72 W. Continue to follow US-72 W (Crossing into ALABAMA). Turn RIGHT onto MOORES MILL
RD. The Agribition Center is at 4925 Moores Mill Rd on your left.
From Huntsville
Take I-565 E, I-565 E becomes US-72 E. Turn LEFT onto MOORES MILL RD. The Agribition Center

From Nashville
Take I-65 South toward HUNTSVILLE (Crossing into ALABAMA). Take I-565 E via EXIT 340B toward
HUNTSVILLE. I-565 E becomes US-72 E. Turn LEFT onto MOORES MILL RD. The Agribition Center
is at 4925 Moores Mill Rd on your left.

available and will be issued on a “first received” basis. The sites have power and water
only. There are 22 spaces with 30A and 6 spaces with 25A. NO dumping station on

INSTRUCTIONS
Handlers may opt to enter in a higher height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper
height division. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a
jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division.
All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be
measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured
by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is
the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running.
HEIGHT AT WITHERS
Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club’s option. These
dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box.

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In
consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to
win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers,
agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are
necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge,
judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to
any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we)
personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties
harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.

Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and by any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list for this

represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. This entry is submitted for acceptance on the forgoing
