One tug and one barges –distribution and/or
bunkering
• One barge and tug would basically be
running as a feeder/short sea ship
• It takes rough sea well
• Speed of up to 12 knots
• Use as a bunkering and/or distribution
vessel
• Robust
• CAPEX less than ordinary small scale
LNG ships
• OPEX far less than ordinary small scale
LNG ships
• Somewhat higher fuel consumption
than an ordinary ship
• Competitive charter rate
One tug and one barge would work as an ordinary ship
One tug and two barges – transportation and a floating
terminal
• Two barges and one tug would be both a transportation
as well as floating and flexible storage/terminal solution
• One tug could also take more than 2 barges and be
distribution and terminal solution for at least two
projects
• Robust
• Low CAPEX and OPEX
• Time to market is competitive
• Mobile, re-saleable and scalable
• Min. investment in land based property is required
• Is independent from soil quality
• When LNG land based terminals are built the cost is sunk
and project is irreversible
• Floating terminals has a huge residual value and
can be moved to other projects, countries and
continents if need be
• Kanfer is also working on adding regas equipment on the
barges

Robustness & Seaworthiness
• A fully ocean going ATB
• The design has been model tested and takes
rough seas well
• Most ATBs are designed for moderate sea
condition while our design is different
• All the oil majors are or have been
chartering ATBs in North America
• Reliable as ordinary ships
• All proven and tested technology, but our
solution is based on thinking outside the
box
• No safety gap between ships and ATBs
• No oil spill or casualties on ATBs
• The pin system connecting the barge and
tug has never broken or interupted
operation
• Ownership and technical management will
be made by first class providers with know
how to the solution and LNG
