25.07.2012 Polskie LNG S.A. supports Karuzela Cooltury in Świnoujście The fourth edition of Karuzela Cooltury (Carousel of Culture) has just come to an end. On this occasion, Polskie LNG S.A. successfully advanced the information campaign about the LNG terminal constructed in Świnoujście and used this festive opportunity to enhance the positive image of this venture among local residents and tourists enjoying their leisure time in Świnoujście resorts. As in previous years, Polskie LNG S.A. was involved in organization of educational programmes for children and teenagers, which were carried out during three days of Karuzela Cooltury festival (20 – 22 July 2012). While the youngest audience could discover some facts about extraction technology and transportation of liquefied natural gas, adults had the opportunity to check some details on the constructed LNG terminal and its importance for energy security of Poland. PLNG S.A.’s participation in Karuzela Cooltury is a step forward to meet the expectations of the local community striving to know more about the functioning of the LNG terminal erected in their close neighbourhood. The “LNG for All” stall provided lots of attractions for the youngest participants of the festival. During “A Little Engineer” programme the kids were demonstrated scientific experiments with the use of dry ice and liquid nitrogen. Another broadly enjoyed draw involved construction of the LNG storage tanks with Lego blocks and creating models of LNG carriers delivering liquefied natural gas from Qatar to Poland. Over three days of Karuzela Cooltury festival the Polskie LNG S.A.’s stall turned out to be the most popular attraction, which was frequently highlighted by organizers and the media. The vast number of visitors to the „LNG for All” stall proves a great public interest in the construction of regasification terminal, so do hundreds of questions raised and dozens of discussions that PLNG representatives held with the participants of the “Karuzela Cooltury” festival. The PLNG’s stall was one of almost 150 attractions and accompanying incentives at the event. The founding fathers of Karuzela Cooltury are Krzysztof Zanussi, a movie director and Marek Ratajczak, the CEO of Centrum Twórczości Narodowej Foundation, which is also the main organizer of the event. Jacek Santorski, Michał Chaciński, Waldemar Malicki, Beata Pawlikowska, priest Maciej Zięba, Dominika Kulczyk-Lubomirska and Sebastian Mikosz are the members of the Festival’s Program Committee. <- Back to: Aktualności
