Prior registration required. 943 29 11 05 - [email protected] Henry Moore sculptures 00:00 Zurriola OTHERS ACTIVITIES EXHIBITION Free This is an itinerant exhibition that is part of Art in the Street program organized by the Obra Social La Caixa in collaboration with the Henry Moore Foundation, which temporarily cede six sculptures by British artist, sculpted between 1960 and 1982, to be exposed at La Zurriola to be enjoyed by citizens and visitors. Iturriak / Fountains 09:00 Ondarreta gardens ITURRIAK / FUENTES Free INSTALLATION Iturriak/Fountains is the public art installation by artist Maider López that is located in the Ondarreta gardens until 31st October. A project from the quay Pagadi, it consists of the recovery of fountains that were removed from the city in the last 25 years, with the intention of regaining the memory of these places. The Lizard Trail 09:00 Asteasu CONVERSATIONS WALK Free The Lizard’s Trail is a tour of Bernardo Atxaga’s birthplace that takes us to the imaginary land of Obaba, to explore, step by step, the writer’s literary work and the landscape of Asteasu. During the tour, several panels and audio recordings (audios available in Basque, Spanish and English) accompany visitors with explanations on texts, characters and places in the author’s literary work. Women and the sea 10:00 Shipping Museum CONVERSATIONS EXHIBITION 3€ This temporary exhibition shows to the general public the link women have had with the sea throughout history without forgetting the place occupied since ancient times in the imagination and mythology of the sea world. In 2013, the artist took pictures of these walls front-on and close-up, thereby transforming them into plastic objects. El compañerismo en el cómic 10:00 Photomuseum (Zarautz) CONVERSATIONS EXPOSITION 3-6€ Using a duo as the main characters in a piece of literature has been and remains a constant feature in both classical and contemporary literature. Comics have given us numerous examples of such pairings: Roberto Alcázar and Pedrín, Mortadelo and Filemón, among others. Based on friendship and camaraderie, these relationships are reflected in an extensive exhibition of documents. Pierre Gonnord: Indarra 11:00 Le Bellevue ? Place Bellevue (Biarritz) CONVERSATIONS EXPOSITION 5-7€ French photographer Pierre Gonnord creates impressive portraits of very academic artistic conventions. The exhibition will present some one hundred photos, including dozens of loggers, stone lifters, or other sports displaying Basque rural sports; photos which were taken especially for this occasion within the scope of a partnership with San Sebastian 2016. 1930. In the Pact of San Sebastian. History and Syncope 11:00 Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea TREAT OF PEACE EXHIBITION Free The San Sebastian Pact paved the way for the arrival of the Second Republic. The feminisation of the Republic's image is addressed here, along with its embodiment in Antonia Mercé, "La Argentina". The highest cultural distinction of the Republic itself, La Argentina died on 18 July 1936 near San Sebastian, after attending a Basque dance exhibition, shocked by the news of the coup d'état LAZKANO. IKUSMIRA 11:30 Kubo-kutxa gallery CONVERSATIONS EXPOSITION Free This exhibition is the first major retrospective for the artist Jesus Mari Lazkano. Containing over a hundred pieces (large canvases, drawings, notebooks, etc.), it shows an artistic career which encompasses over three decades of work. The Abdication of Bayonne in 1808, which was more or less illegitimate, was however the first liberal charter created in the Spanish Kingdom. A precise light is shown on this period and on these specific events based on the crafts that the Spanish princesses made while exiled in France.
