THE STORY… BEHIND MARTA’S ‘HAPPY’ LAYOUT
From now on Papermania’s Owl Folk will
definitely be one of my favourite docrafts
collections! I love all the purple and lilac colours
mixed with orange. When I saw those cute owls
and flowers on the papers I instantly knew that it
would be perfect for a girly scrapbooking project.
This photo of my niece was taken a couple of
years ago in some beautiful gardens. When you
look at the photo background you will see that
it’s a perfect match with the Owl Folk flowery
designs. The whole collection has beautiful tiny
floral elements crying out to be cut out and
used as embellishments. I have played with the
geometric shapes to create mirror effects and
used layers of the patterned papers to make the
composition with the black and white photograph
adding a great contrast.
It is very important to capture and cherish
moments like this and I hope to give this work
to my niece as a gift for her birthday. Framed
scrapbooking pages featuring our loved ones
make great gifts from the heart. Enjoy!
