size, all runners & walkers are asked to
mail in the attached entry form and a
check in the amount of $15.

Þ Or, you can arrive on the day of the
event; about 30 minutes prior to the
start to sign a release form,

participate
at
no
cost.
On the day of the event, T-shirts will be
limited to a first-come, first-served basis at
$15. T-shirt availability cannot be
guaranteed
on
the
event
day.
Parking will be limited to the Activity
Center and Lakeway Justice Center
parking lots located across Lohman's from
the main entrance to Hamilton Greenbelt I.
There will be volunteers to direct people
to the start of the race from the parking
areas.
PLEASE park in the designated parking
areas only. Any illegally parked cars may
be towed at the owner’s expense.

Wilderness Run
The Friends of the Parks organization announces the 18th Annual Wilderness Run to be
held on April 16, 2016 at 9:00AM at the Hamilton Greenbelts in Lakeway. Registration begins
at 8:00 AM. In case of inclement weather, the decision to start the run/walk will be made onsite at 9:00AM.
The non-competitive 3-mile & 5-mile Wilderness Run/Walk features some of the most
spectacular scenery in the state with scenic overlooks of Lake Travis and Hurst Creek. The
trail winds along canyon walls and high cliff, around huge rocks, across fern covered creeks,
and through tall native tree forests. The run/walk will start and finish at Hamilton Green Belt I
located on Lohman's Crossing across from the Lakeway Justice Center. The run/walk will
begin at 9:00 AM. Entry forms for runners/walkers can be obtained, beginning on March 14th
at the trailheads to Hamilton Greenbelt’s I and II, Lakeway Activity Center, Lakeway City Hall,
www.lakewayFOP.org or by calling Sheryl Kelly at (512)997-8880. There is no entry fee. Refreshments are available at the start/finish areas and at various locations along the course.
